This past weekend we had a mini family reunion and my eldest sister was proudly showing off a birthday gift she bought for herself. Like me, she loves handbags and often saves up all year to give herself something fabulous. You might know of Anya Hindmarch through her very popular and very limited edition, ‘I’m Not A Plastic Bag‘ eco-friendly tote back in 2007. In case you’re wondering, yes, I’m still hunting for a new black handbag (aka the great black handbag search). It’s not easy to find a black bag that’s equal parts amazing, versatile and timeless. Of course it doesn’t help that I’m extremely picky. If you’re on a search for one too, I’ve found these two lovely bags for your immediate consideration. They’re by Christian Louboutin and Salvatorre Ferragamo. You can’t go wrong if you pick these up!

I’m sure you’re all familiar with the classic handbag style, the satchel. The popular satchel shape holds a lot and still manages to look every bit as chic and sophisticated.
