Eugenia Kim’s special Urban Outfitters line called Eek! debuted with a small collection of hats and hair accessories at the end of July. I posted Eugenia Kim Eek! for Urban Outfitters about some of the first pieces in this special collaboration. I was just shopping online at Urban Outfitters and saw that there are new Eek! pieces available and the previously released styles are now on sale at very low prices: hats are $19.99 and hair accessories are only $9.99!

Fashionable hats have become popular in the past few years as a functional and glamorous accessory that can add so much style to a Fall ensemble. Fall hats are a little different from Winter hats because they don’t need to provide as much warmth, so they can be a little more fashion and a little less function. Here are my picks for the top women’s hat trends for this fall:
decorated cloche – The cloche made a huge comeback last fall, so definitely expect to see this style out in full force. The plain black cloche has already been done, so …read more

Obviously sales are pretty great. The only consistent difficulty that I have with shopping sales is that any great style that I find is never available in my size. In checking out the sales online recently, I just had a great realization: accessories on sale are the best because they usually come in just one size! Hats and sunglasses are usually fairly generic in size (hats come in maybe two sizes at the most), so it’s a better chance that you will find what you are looking for.
Banana Republic is currently having a great accessories sale, with up to 50% …read more

Straw Bow Cloche for Spring

Last fall/winter I was absolutely obsessed with the cloche hat. I don’t even usually wear hats, but the 1920’s flapper reference and flattering style was just too intriguing to pass up. I love the more modern cloche hats that designers have been sending down the runway lately that are more structured than the vintage floppy style. Angelina Jolie sported numerous gorgeous cloche hats in the movie “The Changeling” that I am very jealous of.
As the weather begins to warm up, I am happy to see the cloche make an appearance as a spring/summer hat this year as well! The materials …read more
