I was browsing through one of my favourite shops, Anthropologie, today and came across an amazing trench coat that I just had to share with you!

The Leading Lady Trench Coat by Eley Kishimoto ($498) is a fantastic coat that will look quite amazing with all of your fall and winter outifts and look even better years from now. This is the type of coat that will stand the test of fashion time because of the classic style, cut and details.  Although the print may seem a bit on the busy side, that’s easily toned down by wearing a monochromatic and solid coloured outfit. If you want to break up the black and white lattice print a bit, thrown on a solid coloured scarf in creamy ivory or even a charcoal grey.

The price is a bit steep but this is a total investment piece. If you’re looking for a great gift idea this holiday season, this coat is it and your leading lady will love it! Sizes range from 2-10 and you can purchase this in Anthropologie stores and online.

A Classic Trench Coat for your Leading Lady

This season there are so many chic styles to choose from, let’s take a look at the black and charcoal coats…

Chloe Cashmere Coat ($2995) – Charcoal is a wonderful alternative to black and like black, it goes with any colour. The beauty of this coat is the dramatic over-sized spread collar and 3/4 sleeves.

Fantastic Fall Coats for Her

For some people, myself included, a coat is a coat. I’ll buy one new one a year (perhaps in black or brown), put it in my closet and hope that it gets cold enough to wear. But, for others, outerwear is the bread and butter of a Fall wardrobe. It adds pop, it adds color, and it can certainly be “the” accessory for that particular outfit.

4 Fabulous Trench Coats for Spring

Helene Berman may be “indie,” but scrappy? Oh, no. While other women were burning their bras, the British dame was studying fashion design at London’s prestigious Harrow School of Art and Design.

Her swingy cropped jackets and petticoats – yes, I said petticoats – are charming and ultra feminine, while her ladylike collection of hats, which range from metallic bucket hats to satin turbans, epitomize elegance.

I’m hoping if I can don a cute straw trilby and dogtooth print skirt I can still get away with chugging black coffee instead of Earl Grey.

Bold Colors for Fall 2009 Accessories

Ribbon Embroidered Dress This looks almost like a swimsuit cover-up, but it is really a short metallic mesh dress with detailed ribbon embroidery. Dropped shoulders and an extended hemline in the back adds to the sophisticated yet casual elegance of the dress. It is $3,945.

Off Shoulder Dress Is it an animal print or is it just spots? It’s just blue and black spots! Talk about a conversation starter. This off the shoulder dress has a gathered neckline and back keyhole detailing. It can be yours for $1,635.

Ikebana Print Blouse & Dark Wash Jeans A beige printed blouse with a spring print and detachable gold chain will go perfect with any dark wash jeans. Although, the outfit will be absolutely complete with the Robeto Cavalli dark wash jeans with signature insignia on them. They are dry clean only though, so be careful! The blouse is $1,245 and the jeans are $725.

Floral Ruffled Dress Perfect for the office, spring time brunch, or any other special occasion, Roberto Cavalli is on trend with the small amount of flowers with this high necked plunging ruffled v back dress with a narrow belt for $2,995.
