Linda Farrow recently said: “It’s easy to see that his satin, silk, and taffeta collections are narcissistic without apology, theatrical beyond repair, and designed for women who love to dress up and play the part of the ultimate diva.”  Okay that’s a pretty good description…now I definitely get the picture.  Linda Farrow teamed up with Jeremy Scott to create a unique sunglasses design that is available at Opening Ceremony.

The Jeremy Scott x Linda Farrow jssunvisor frame is, as expected, completely unique and unlike anything we have ever seen before.  The colored plastic sunglasses have thin oval lenses and thick plastic frames that curve around the temples and protrude out from the upper edge of the frames like a visor.  The idea of a visor on sunglasses is actually quite practical because it combines sunglasses and a hat into one piece.  But just like the rest of Jeremy Scott’s pieces, it’s harder to decide if you love it, hate it, or if you’re just not cool enough to pull it off.

Here are some of my favorite styles and colors from the anon Summer collection:

anon Sundae in Green Apple $90

This is a simple and affordable style in a unique and flattering shade of green with brown lenses.  I like the thin minimalistic frames with just a tiny metal detail on the temple.  This style also looks great in yellow and translucent burnt orange.

If you are a pink kind of girl, these are so perfect!  I love the shocking solid pink paired with the white and gold on the chunky plastic aviator style.  These remind me of a girl who can kick it with the boys…

This is one of anon’s most unique styles with perfectly circular lenses and a matte finish baby blue color on the frames.  These are guaranteed to attract some attention!  The circular lens is a fashion forward style this summer…

Another fun style that is under $100!  I love the subtle patriotic pairing of the navy exterior and red interior on the frames.  This classic plastic aviator would look great for men or women.  I also like the Apple Green and Crystal White color options in this frame.

Mix & Match Anon Colored Sunglasses

Here are some tips for picking sunglasses in the right color for you:

• Dark hair and dark eyes.  This usually includes Asians, African Americans, and ethnicities with olive-colored skin.  Wear sharp colors like red, black, or navy.

• Light hair and light eyes.  This includes those with blonde hair and light-colored eyes or brunettes with light-colored eyes.  Wear soft natural colors like brown and plum.

• Red hair and hazel/brown eyes.  Wear soft colors with golden undertones like beige, orange, and dark brown.

• Light hair and freckly skin.  Wear warm colors like peach and golden yellow.

How to Wear Colored Sunglasses

Dita sunglasses have skyrocketed in popularity lately and been spotted on every celebrity.  Similar to brands like Oliver Peoples, Dita has simple modern designs that are beautiful without huge logos or flashy embellishments.  Dita Eyewear founders Jeff Solario and John Jupiter are inspired by the vintage styles of the ’50s through the ’80s and value the lack of too much branding.  Their Dita frames are handmade in Japan with the highest quality materials.

Dita Lavish Sunglasses in Lavendar Crystal $375

These sunglasses are what made me fall in love with Dita!  The “lavendar crystal” material on the frame is very unique with the varing shades of purple.  The style resembles the square Wayfarer, yet seems more sophisticated with the subtlety of color and tiny metal accents on the temple.

Can you spot the difference?  These Joya Sunglasses also come in the gorgeous “lavendar crystal” material, but have a round lens shape.  There is also a subtle metal design inlayed into the temple.  Beautiful!

Ray-Ban Neon Wayfarer Skinnies in Dark Orange $129

My new discovery in the Ray-Ban collection is the Neon Wayfarer Skinnies.  These are similar to the classic Ray-Ban Wayfarers, which we have seen absolutely everywere this summer on every celebrity and in every color combination you could possibly imagine.  The difference is that the Skinnies have a distinctly (of course) skinnier frame and temple.  The classic Wayfarer is very chunky with a children’s toy quality to the emphasized colored plastic of the frame.

Ray-Ban Neon Wayfarer Skinnies in Azure Fluorescent $129

I like these Wayfarers because they are more delicate and seem to be adapted to fit women’s styles.  These sunglasses have oversized gradient lenses and brightly colored plastic frames.  They come in Dark Orange, Azure Fluorescent, and Yellow Fluorescent.

This a great verions of the classic black plastic aviator that is in style this summer.  These are similar to the Carrera sunglasses that are so popular in Europe.

Paul Smith Oversized Square Sunglasses $98 (reg. $325)

Again, a ridiculous price for designer Paul Smith sunglasses.  I love the color combination in these with the deep forest green and the amber tortoise shell.  These are a smaller size so they would fit on many face shapes.
