Giveaway: Venus Embrace Shaving Kit

I’m not a fan of overly man-scaped men (why do they insist on messing with their eyebrows?).  I do, however,  appreciate a man who smells good and has nice skin. The Old Spice Deck Scrubber, included in the gift set, is a mesh-type scrubber. It features a “manly” handle, so you don’t confuse it with a lesser, girly mesh scrubber.

These scrubbers are good for two reasons. One, you only need a little body wash to get a healthy lather (Guys, saving money means you’ve got more to spend on your lady. Yay!).  Two,  it exfoliates. I am hugely obsessed with their site anyway, it’s packed with tips by celebrity stylist Hallie Bowman – who, you, incidentally may remember did my hair a few months ago! There’s even video tutorials on everything from The Swept Back Updo to Everyday Volume to Cocktail Curls (which is gorgeous!), and more. I’m faklempt.

You can even share your “hair emergency” questions and get answers. Which, at the very least, makes me feel better about my daily dramas. There’s so many people with bigger fish to fry!

My girls and I all tried the perfume. It’s a floral with notes of Apple Blossom, Jasmine, Lilac, and Rose. I think it’s well-suited to someone young or anyone who likes a light, flowery scent.

Anne of Green Gables Giveaway

There are probably a variety of reasons why I always get it (I like routine! Change? No thank you!), but I am glad I do because when I heard Dove was coming out with a new type of deodorant, my interest was instantly piqued. Dove’s Visibly Smooth line of anti-perspirants/deodorants actually helps to minimize the look and feel of underarm hair over time.

Wow, just when I thought their deodorant couldn’t get any better!

I have been trying it out for a week and am glad that while they were doing all of this innovating, they didn’t mess with a good thing and change most aspects of their fantastic deodorant formula. It goes on the same, smells the same (though I typically go for less fragrant varieties, I will say Wild Rose is a pretty good scent), and works great.
