What is new in the world of fragrance? Upcoming fragrance launches include a Balenciaga partnered with Coty fragranceto be released in early 2010. Balenciaga CEO Isabelle Guichot had this to say about the venture, “Fragrance is something that was absolutely missing in the Balenciaga universe,” Guichot told WWD, “We want to extend the Balenciaga brand to a broader audience.” No word yet on what the fragrance will be called or what notes it will consist of.

A Possible Snag With Beyonce’s Fragrance

Remember that fragrance announcement from last week? The announcement about Beyonce Knowles and Coty teaming up to produce and launch a fragrance next Spring 2010. Beyonce’s plan was to name the fragrance Fierce after her latest album “I Am Sasha Fierce.” She already has a line of clothing with the name Sasha Fierce out in department stores.
Abercrombie & Fitch, a chain of clothing stores directed at young adults, has a problem with the name of the new fragrance – they insist that they already own that name. New York Daily News reports….

Beyoncé To Launch New Scent With Coty

Coty has announced that they are working with performer Beyoncé Knowles on a new fragranceto be launched early in 2010. The fragrance hasn’t been give a name yet and there’s no clue to what notes will be used to build the scent. I’m curious to see what she comes up with, because she’s always struck me as a sort of uber-woman, with a little bit extra oomph. A little more talent, a little more body, and a lot more hair. She definitely has a well-defined sense of style.
