In previous posts, I have often stressed the importance of taking care of your hands. They are one area of the body that some women neglect and as you get older, your hands can really show your age. Using nourish botanicals that soothe, hydrate and protect your skin, this collection features an assortment of products that are free of parabens, lauryl sulfates, mineral oil, and propylene glycol. The collection includes their new Rejuvenating Hand Remedy, new Creamy Cleanser, new Scrub Cleanser, Hand Therapy moisturizer and Hand Recovery polisher.

The Citron, Honey & Coriander Hand Remedy helps reduce the visible signs of aging and leaves hands feeling soft and smooth with a more youthful appearance. The antioxidant-rich formula should be applied liberally every night (or whenever you feel you need it). It’s priced at $24.00 for 3.4 oz.

In addition to the botanical extracts of lemon, honey and coriander, the Citron, Honey & Coriander Hand Recovery contains a blend of nine emollients, including over 35% Macadamia Nut Oil, Palm and Shea Butters, to help condition even the driest of hands. It’s recommended that you use it two to three times a week on clean, dry hands. Be sure to massage it well into the front and backs of your hands, then rinse with water. It’s $20.00 for 3.5 oz.

Either the Scrub Cleanser or the Cream Cleanser should be used before the Hand Remedy. These products each come in an 8.5 oz pump priced at $12.00. The Hand Therapy should be used daily after cleansing and then throughout the day as you need it. This product is available in three sizes — 1.7 fl oz/$7.00, 3.4 fl oz//$14.00, 8.5 fl oz/$21.00.

This week, Crabtree & Evelyn just announced it is one of — what, thousands? — of shops to file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy within the last few months. Aromatherapy Distillations

Crabtree & Evelyn has a new scented line called Aromatherapy Distillations body care and home collection. The products are scented to perform 3 separate functions: Relax, Revitalize, and Purify. Aromatherapy Distillations are “a holistic approach to care for your senses and your skin.”

Made using natural ingredients like Acai, Marula oil, and 100% pure essential oils, the products are free of harmful ingredients like parabens, colorants, mineral oil, synthetic fragrances, sodium lauryl, laureth sulfate, and propylene glycol. The products are effective, but gentle.

To find out which products will best serve your needs, click hereto answer a series of questions. I had the chance to try a couple of the products in the Purifying line. They feature a blending of essential oils including grapefruit, lime, eucalyptus, and rosemary. Seaweed, cucumber and lemon grass are included in the formula to refresh and clarify while cleansing.

I tried the Deep Cleansing Body Wash and Refreshing Body Lotion. They smell of herbs and fresh ingredients – not perfumey extras. The body wash made my skin feel tingly – I think it was the eucalyptus. The body lotion was moisturizing without feeling greasy.
