Maybe it’s just because I’m a writer, but I am a total sucker for old typewriters. They just look so romantic. They are, however, heavy as hell, and a total pain to deal with, so I don’t actually use one to work on unless it’s an art piece or something. This is all obvious, right? Maybe you’re about to marry a writer, or a steampunk, or just someone with sort of an old-school style. In any …read more
B-Side’s graffiti-inspired jewelry

There’s a good reason why Reebok modeled its new limited edition sneaker collection off the paintings of Jean-Michel Basquiat, the late NYC graffiti genius. Spray-painted works of art never lose their cool.
B-Side Jewelry, the offspring of a design duo Ken Leung and Dana Chin, have translated street graffiti into quirky and interesting, but highly wearable necklaces, rings, bracelets, earrings — and even tie clips and cufflinks.

I’m always forgetting about the groom. Not my own, of course, but, well, you know what I mean. It just seems so much easier for him to get dressed than her that I sometimes forget that he might need help. These Eclipse cufflinks by Montreal designer Sara LaGace are made of oxidized sterling silver. I love the dark metallic shine on them and the simple concave design. They’re so lovely, it’s a total eclipse of the heart. (Sorry, I …read more

Colorful Cuff Links
For a colorful pair of cuff links, I love these from Forzieri.

The Forzieri pink square cufflinks are nicely priced at only $72. And it’s kind of cool to say, …read more
