This multi-colored, strapless, Jovani cocktail dress has that painted look that is very popular right now.

This would make a great cocktail dress for the evening or a prom dress if you want to go short.  It comes in size 0 to size 32, and there’s no extra charge for ordering a plus size.

Buy it when you shop at findmypromdress.com.  This is a great site, as they also give away stuff for free!  When you buy $100 or more, you can get free shoes, handbags, jewelry, and more.  You also get free ground shipping within the United States, but they also ship worldwide.  And if that isn’t enough, they have a best low price guarantee!

Looking for something to do?  Take their prom dress hot or not survey, and rate their dresses.

Look Stunning in This Chic Silky Dress with Black Foral Print

March 20, 2008 by admin

This JS Collections dress is fantastic.  A lot of clothes tend to follow the same pattern, but this one is different while still being in line with current trends.  I love the sleeves on this, the little bows on the sleeves, and the piping; the black floral print against the white background is really exquisite.

5 Fashion Tips — What to Wear for Easter

March 18, 2008 by admin

Easter is coming up fast, and this season’s fashion offers all sorts of fun alternatives for your Easter attire.  Here are 5 fashion tips for a stylish Easter holiday.

0803_35_easter4

1) Bright Colors:  Bright colors are in, especially yellowBright colors against a black background are also very stylish this year.

2) Girly Stuff:  Ruffles, lace, florals — anything feminine or frilly.  Girl it up this Easter with romantic clothing styles.

3) Traditional or Casual, You Choose:  Fashion is much less rigid today, and choices abound.  If you’re not into dresses, wear a pretty floral halter top with slacks, jeans, or capris.

4) Chic Hair Accessories:  Forego the big Easter hat for a sleek and stylish hairband.  The Hair Boutique and Marketplace offers a fabulous collection of couture headbands, or, if you want the scarf look but aren’t sure how to tie one, cheat with one of these ready-to-go scarf headbands from Cherabella.

5) Big Bold Jewelry:  Match the bright colors in your clothing with big, bold jewelry that’s fun to wear, like these enamel bangles from Banana Republic.

Greek Inspired, Short, Formal Dress Fit for a Goddess

March 17, 2008 by admin

The Audrina dress pictured below features draping reminiscent of ancient statues of greek goddesses, a style that’s very *in* right now.  What I especially like about this dress is that it has the fittied piece beneath the draping.

Available in other colors, as well; get it at Lauren Conrad which ships worldwide.

The draping at the neckline and the jewels on the shoulder straps contribute to the chic look of this little black dress.

Notice the ruching on the entire dress and the little upturn at the side seam hem, which show off the figure.  This dress is sexy while still being elegant.  It’s currently on sale.  Complete the look, and pair it with these silver T-strap high heels:

5 Places to Buy a Prom Dress Online

March 16, 2008 by admin

0803_30_prom

A prom dress can take weeks to be made and more time to ship to you.  It’s never too early to start looking for that perfect dress.  Following are 5 online stores where you can find formal and prom dresses.

If you’re last-minute shopping, many prom dress stores also have web pages that contain pre-made, in-stock dresses which they can ship out quickly.  The bad news is that you’ll have to search through them for your size, but the good news is that the pre-made dresses are often offered at a discount.

If you liked this post, you might also want to browse through my long dress category for lots of beautiful formal dresses.
