Vaseline Hair Tonic… a Look Back to the 1950s

It seems that every generation was trying to come up with the perfect product to combat dandruff. This ad seemed to think that this hair tonic from Vaseline would do the trick. I wonder what products like that would have cost back in 1951! Don’t you just love the ads that our parents probably paid so much attention to?? And look at that haircut. Now is that cool or what lol??
Is This Dandruff??
Lets get to what it isn’t! You might think that you have dandruff, but what it is in actuality is just plain build up of hair care products on the scalp. A good old fashioned scalp massage (my favorite) is sometimes all you need. You might try spending a bit more time rinsing your hair as well. These days we simply jump into the shower, wash our hair as fast as we can, drizzle on a little conditioner, count to sixty and rinse for a few seconds and jump right back out.
