Since coming back from our cruise on Sunday, I’m still a bit on “cruise mode” (I miss hanging out at the Lido deck! ). This of course, has not affected my love for handbags because I thought it would be fun to check out what Gucci had in store for their Cruise Collection.
Similar to a resort collection, a cruise collection features clothing and accessories target for holiday travel to warmer climates. These small collections are a wonderful way to pick up a fun new accessory, to use now and in Spring and Summer, even if you’re not traveling.

Dolce & Gabbana Miss Escape Floral Tote

While the Valentino tote I posted yesterday is beautiful, the price tag is a bit hefty. If you want to dive into the floral trend for Fall but don’t want a bag that’s as extravagant and busy as the Valentino tote, I highly suggest picking up this lovely bag from Dolce & Gabbana!
The Dolce & Gabbana Miss Escape Floral Tote ($995) is much tamer in comparison (and a teeny bit cheaper) and thus more wearable and versatile. Perfect as an every day bag, this will take you from work to weekend shopping trips. What strikes me about this bag is …read more

Are you itching to get yourself your first Louis Vuitton bag or are you looking to add to your ever-growing collection? I don’t blame you. A Louis Vuitton bag is something you can’t fully appreciate until you’ve seen and held one up close. They’re impeccably made and will last and look amazing forever.
November is a great time to get serious about this purchase because, through the month of November, Louis Vuitton will be donating 10% of the purchase price, on select bags, to the American Red Cross!

Do you recall that lovely Christian Louboutin Python Shoulder Bag I wrote about a couple days ago? Well, I found another python bag, this time from Marc Jacobs, that’s just a wee bit cheaper. Ok, it’s not that much cheaper but it’s less than the CL bag, that’s for sure. It’s a bit bigger too!
The Marc Jacobs Stardust Printed Python Rio Satchel is a one of a kind type of bags. It’s a bit on the “look at me” side of the handbag spectrum but I definitely wouldn’t mind looking at this one up close (or getting one …read more

One of my good friends is searching for her first designer bag or “investment bag” and she has asked me to help her out. As if I’d turn her down?! Not only do I love looking for and buying handbags for myself, I love helping my friends pick out their first or next bag. Part of the fun is the thrill of the chase!
My friend’s handbag requirements are pretty simple and I’m sure a lot of women have the same sort of checklist for their bags as well. Her budget is set at $400 and under which …read more

Whilst watching Project Runway (so excited that it’s back!) last night, I wondered what Michael Kors had in store for his fall handbags. If you’re fan of Michael Kors, you won’t be disappointed. For fall his bags are fun, a bit eccentric and stylish. As I was browsing his line, one in particular caught my eye…
This Michael Kors Heidi Large Leather Shoulder Bag is a great shoulder bag to use every day. The overall design is simple but the details, such as the logo embossed gold buckles on the front and side give it a little something. The rich …read more
Kate Winslet with a Prada Tote
I know everyone is a buzz about the reunion of Kate Winslet and Leonardo Dicaprio in Revolutionary Road and the possibility of an Oscar for Ms. Kate. However, I’ve always been fascinated by her fashion. She’s always so classy and put together, even when she’s not trying. She’s much like Gwyenth Paltrow, just sheer and classic. Maybe it’s because they both call England home for most of the year. Who knows.
So, what do classy and classic girls travel with? Prada of course! Kate Winslet was spotted with this over sized Prada bag while traveling from LAX in mid November.
It looks …read more
