Truth in advertising, that’s what I’m interested in. And this totally clever tee by indie darling, Desira Pesta, is exactly that. Plus, it’s goldenrod, and how often do you get to describe something as goldenrod?
You can’t see it in this pic, but there’s a hilariously haggard portrait of Woody Allen in the lower right hand corner. What’s the point of buying from independent designers when the stuff at the mall is so much cheaper? If the answer to this question is not obvious to you, please allow me to elucidate.
Independent designers are real people. This may sound obvious, but sometimes it’s hard to put a face to an article of clothing. For the most part, when you support independent designers, you are helping an actual person pay their bills and participate in our global economy. You are also less likely to be supporting sweatshops, which aren’t good for anyone.
