Discount website Bluefly currently has an amazing selection of Diane Von Furstenberg colorful silk, cotton, and cashmere scarves at affordable prices. DVF is famous for her bold patterned wrap dresses in vibrant hues, so I’m excited to see the fabrics appearing on scarves as well. I love finding brightly colored patterned fabrics in accessories because they’re usually a little too …read more

Good morning, dear readers. I am super excited , because today is my wedding day part deux. Unfortunately, my grandfather (who is a spry 98 years old) was unable to make it to my first wedding in New Orleans, LA. So, today we will be restaging the shindig in Mount Vernon,VA for his benefit. But, fashion maven that I am, I couldn’t possibly wear the same dress twice. Here’s what I’m wearing today.
I wrote about this darling Hippolyte dress by Diane Von Furstenberg a few weeks back when I discovered the Nordstrom Wedding Shop. And then I couldn’t stop thinking …read more
Nordstrom Wedding Shop

There are so many elaborate wedding gowns out there that I find myself drawn towards more simple, modern styles. Only there aren’t really that many out there, yet. For a lot of reasons, I think that is changing. For one thing, the downturn in the economy makes the $2k dress minimum seem a little higher than it used to. Brides of all ilks are lowering their wedding budgets, and dresses that are more streamlined and minimal fit nicely into the pared down wedding package.
The Nordstrom online wedding shop is a great place to find reasonably priced, well designed dresses in …read more

When I worked in the business world my feet were covered up 9 out of 10 days of the week. On that tenth day though, you bet your fashionable butt, my feet were out in open, showing off pretty manicured and pedicured toes. But, wearing shoes that showcased the beautiful pedicure was always a problem.
Well, now I’ve found these DVF Diana Thong sandals that will give everyone a perfect excuse to bear it all on the bottom level. The intricate design (this time beaded) is classic Diane Von Furstenberg. The style, an almost flip-flop gladiator style is perfect for this …read more

Models hit the runway at the Diane Von Furstenberg Fall 2009 fashion show at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week and showcased a bunch of crazy new styles. We got a look at some of the hat fashions and I must say, they are not exactly my cup of tea. In my opinion, I don’t think they’re practical at all. And dare I say they’re….ugly? In my eyes, when I look at the hats, I just see fluff and pom-poms…Some of those girls are struggling to see through their hats!
However, maybe I’m the only one. According to Reuters, Diana Ross loves them. The …read more
