New York Fashion Week is well under way, with half of the Spring and Summer 2010 collections already sent down the runway.
Designers have been showing some gorgeous pieces for Spring, with yummy colors and very wearable accessories coming up for the next season.
Diane Von Furstenburg continued the trend of bold, simple accessories in bright candy colors with her big bangle bracelets:
The knotted necklace almost has a tribal feel to it – but updated with more of those great colors.
I can pass on the feathery sleeves, but those shoes from Zac Posen are completely yummy! How can you resist the combination …read more

Diane Von Furstenberg was my first glimpse into the world of fashion at a young age. I saw a wrap dress on E! one weekend and her name was forever ingrained in my mind. But, why in the world do we love these dresses oh so much?
Diane Von Furstenberg did a short interview for Saks Fifth Avenue recently and explained, “I didn’t know what I wanted to do…I became that woman [that we all LOVE!] through fashion.”
Part of who so many women are is seen through what they wear, and women all over the world can, and do, wear DVF. …read more

Chloe already mentioned the attack of the pom-poms at the DVF show earlier this week…but did the hats distract from the real stars of the show, the dresses?
Thank you God, I could not go a day without seeing animal print! This dress is a mishmash of animal prints with a cinched in waist. I like how it has some animal print, but it isn’t overboard. It can obviously translate from runway to real world. The sandals with socks, not too much, though. The hat. oh my. I’ve seen worse though. However, if you live somewhere cold, this could be an …read more

Don’t ever rely on that old rule “Never Wear White After Labor Day,” when shopping for dresses. Especially when you find a beautifully dress like this Diane Von Furstenburg “Claretta” Dress. You’ll look like an Urban Princess when you wear it with the perfect accessories, some necklaces and the perfect heels.
It is a stylish slip silhouette design with split dolman sleeves that tie at the cuffs. The tie at the cuff adds some extra detail to the otherwise plain dress. It has a V neck and back lined in an eco-friendly bamboo. Put it on your pre-order list. This …read more
Diane Von Furstenburg and Her Famous Employee

Reality TV (or unreality as some like to call it) is my guilty pleasure. When I found out a few months back that Whitney Port of the Hills would star in her own Laguna Beach –> The Hills spin-off at Diane Von Furstenburg I was not only jealous of her opportunity (she is my age), but also stoked about watching it.
A few days ago, however, I caught an article at NYMag.com which questioned her employment at DVF. Several employees mentioned their inability to work and the lack of actual work done by Port.
Anyway, back to fashion and …read more
