Pretty Mod Floral Dress

I love shift dresses. They are my alternative to pajamas in the work place. If I don’t feel like putting one leg in after another, I put on a shift dress , some pretty flats, and call it a day. It’s so easy. But, it’s so hard to find the perfect dress. They get super boring after a while and you have to add all those accessories and the colors get boring and I just want to scream! This dress, though, by BGN is the absolute opposite of boring.

Stretch Sateen Dress from Spiegel

This is such a cool dress, and it’s available in more colors than just purple, too! You can grab it in black, brown, and neutral, and the price is so right. It nips in the waist nicely without encircling the waist in a belt or sash. That button placket in the front is perfectly “Jackie O.”–and I love that about it.
This dress is claimed to provide the “perfect fit,” and I really believe that it does. It has a touch of Lycra spandex, my savior, plus a back zip and slit to help you put your dress on comfortably and …read more
Sophisticated Fall Open-Back Grey Dress

I found the best dress for fall, in the unlikeliest of places: this simple, but sophisticated dress is from Torrid, and it rings in at $68! Picture it. . . you are getting ready for work, and you toss on this dress with a stretch belt and maybe a pair of booties or interesting peep toes. You got to work, punch the time clock, and then a coworker asks you out for drinks. If you were wearing a cute blazer over this number, all you have to do is slip off the layer and pow!– you’re wearing something subtly sexy.

Taking time to find some local Aussie indie designers has brought me to pull up the clothing designs of this promising talent, Pamela Tang. I love the simplicity and artistic feel of her creations.
Take for example this adorable Knee Length Linen Dress in Mustard —
This loose fitting, slightly a-line dress can be worn in any season. Great with jeans, pants or a-line skirts, with a fitted 3/4 or long sleeve skivvy. Otherwise worn alone as a dress. The front has a centre pleat, the back has one fix strap. Both sides feature contrast embroidery details. Freyed edges and uncut threads …read more

Just a photo snapped last year of me wearing a dress by a local (Philippine) indie designer Irene Pineda. She runs an online shop over at Multiply called Irene’s Closet and used to have a shop at the Archeology Wing of the Power Plant Mall located in Rockwell, Makati City. I reckon she know has a shop along Jupiter Street also in Makati City.
I love the tiered ruffled dress with paisley print in pink and purple crossover straps. It actually has the right length. Looks very dainty and feminine. I only wore it once before I handed it over to …read more
Black Dress with Teal Flowers Screenprint by Angel D’Amico

I’ve been crushing on dresses with designs concentrated on one particular portion of the piece. I actually almost bought a ruched strapless dress with a large flower embroidery located near the hem but I was looking for something more formal at that time so I had to pass. Seeing this dress by Angel D’Amico of AD LOVE made me think of that dress design again.
Black Dress with Teal Flowers Screenprint, $35
Not particularly fond of Teal but this dress is still adorable. I reckon it’s a great everyday dress. I wonder how this would look like with a different colour combination? …read more
Twirl Me Dress in Heather

My friends know (and those who read my blogs on style and street fashion) that I love dresses. I wouldn’t matter if I’d spend $$$ on one and go vintage for the next or spot one in one of the flea markets I’d visit. What’s important is it has all the right elements that would cause me to pull out my wallet and take out the cash.
When I came across Lulu’s and spotting this Twirl Me Dress in Heather, I reckon spending $79 would be worth it.
A gorgeous bow with pleating borders the bustline and extends around the back. Dress …read more

drop-waist dress
I like the simplicity of this dress.
It’s got a drop waist which is great for anyone (like me) who is not so confident about their tummy.
It’s a t-shirt dress, but better.

plunging summer dress
August is a warm time of year for just about all of the US. Now is about the time that the humidity hits and we’re all reaching for shorts, tank tops and tiny dresses.
If you’ve got somewhere to go, I’d get this pretty halter dress from Graziolin. I love how all the colors wrap around in a tiny mini. There’s a bandeau that you get to wear underneath and a totally plunging neckline.
The best part of this dress is the amazing price.
