Moxsie, the indie clothing, jewelry and accessories shop has just opened their brand-new eco-friendly boutique.
It’s got the same blend of hip designs from independent designers from all over the world, but all of the goodies in the shop are also environmentally friendly.
So what kind of cool goodies can you find? Let’s take a look…
Think eco-friendly doesn’t include jewelry?

Happy Earth Day everyone!
I think everyone is trying to be a little “greener” these days, but does that mean you need to give up being a fabulous fashionista?
Of course not! There are lots of things you can do to stay fashionable and be eco-friendly at the same time.

Can’t wait for April showers to bring May flowers? Do you want flowers right now?
How about the charming “Wildflower Wreath” earrings from jewelry designer Kris Nations? The earrings have a fun, retro feel with bold, graphic lines.
Even better, the earrings are another environmentally-friendly accessory – they’re made from recycled gold or silver, sourced in the USA!
There are large earrings (approximately 2″ X 2″)
And smaller “Closeup” teardrops:

Did you know that gold and gemstone mining creates environmental damage and has even fueled conflicts?
So what’s an eco-conscious fashionista to do?
Look for fair-trade, conflict-free or recycled gold jewelry of course! Brilliant Earth is one company that produces lovely jewelry with a conscience.
Check out their “Sea of Cortez” 18kt gold and pearl pendant:
The pearl was produced by a farm in Mexico that specializes in farming pearls in an eco-friendly way.
Brilliant Earth also sells recycled or fair-trade gold and conflict-free diamond and sapphire jewelry.

Today’s bird jewelry obsession? Oh, about half of eco-friendly, indie designers Figs & Ginger catalog…
Unfortunately the lovely little sterling silver “Elliot” bird ring is out of stock for the holidays, but you can send them an email and request to be notified when they have more:
Also out of stock until January, the equally adorable “Nestlings” necklace:

Floral jewelry from Farrah Dragon

I’ve fallen in love with Farrah Dragon’s line of eco-friendly sterling silver & gold jewelry!
The materials used to create the jewelry are all sourced from Earth-friendly mining cooperatives or are created from 100% recycled metal. But the jewelry itself is what’s captivated me – the pieces look like they’re grown – not made.
See for yourself…
