I hadn’t, especially not ones that cost $19.95 before the custom fitting charge (which is quite small). While I was obsessing over eShakti’s lighter-colored leggings, I know that the darker stuff is definitely the way to go.

eShakti now ships in 3 days, which is yet another improvement on their previous 5, and I always love what they offer over there. Their tunics are also amazing, and will go perfectly with those super-stretchy ruched leggings!

Picking Up Leggings at eShakti

My favorite style of pear-friendly skirt is the a-line skirt, but you might also like tulip-style items with a slight flare at the knee. When in doubt, your skirt should fall close to your body at the waist, and then fall farther from the body as it travels down the hips and legs.

My top selection is this gorgeous piece from eShakti, which has a good deal of design interest that still won’t make your hips look bigger. It’s available in a nice white that’s great for spring, but the figure-conscious shape balances the light color. Behold:

Hot Pear-Friendly Skirts

For those of us who hate the “plus size” tag, this is the place to go. Size 0s and size 20s are treated equally, and when you include your measurements, aren’t even assigned that number. Sounds a little bit like specialty size heaven, doesn’t it? Plus, their clothes are divine. It’s a total win-win situation! I couldn’t squee over it more than I already do, but I’m trying.

Customize a Blouse, Any Size!

There’s something about eShakti that makes me so, so glad to have added them to my plus-size closet: their very attractive price point mixed in with their high quality. Okay, that was two “somethings,” but I’m being serious– this company is a cut above the rest. Each item is handcrafted, handstitched, or at least handworked in one way or another, and you can get 100% silk tops for $70 and below. Sigh. It probably won’t surprise you that I’ve switched over almost exclusively to eShakti for going-out stuff at this point!

One of my favorite pieces available right now is the Crochet Floral Trim Blouse, shown, which has a forgiving shape and cool open weave details. Romantic, peachy, and delicate… what’s not to love?

Don’t Scrimp On Quality for Plus-Size Picks

This eShakti Embroidered Dress has caught me at a vulnerable moment. Here I am, running around the country having a blast, and then I find all of these innocent pieces with embroidery and even ruffle trim. That’s it; I’m a convert of these cute pieces and I can’t go back!

eShakti Gorgeousness

I can’t believe that I just learned about this now. . . it’s called eShakti, and it’s a similar scheme to the Etsy designed pieces, but it’s much better organized. This cotton top was one of my very favorites, with a pleated front and interesting, crafty medallions that run along both the neck and hem. Standard sizing will cost you less, and is available up to 3X. Considering the level of coolness of this particular piece $44.95 seems very low indeed. Yay!
