While I wouldn’t exactly style my top like this one with these dark jeans (black pants?), I think that this one has fantastic potential for cuteness. It’s just sweet, and would look nice paired with some eye-possing colors! In addition, this top is a little longer for those who said that many Torrid items are a little on the shorter torso side. A Nautical Side of Torrid

I can’t believe that I just learned about this now. . . it’s called eShakti, and it’s a similar scheme to the Etsy designed pieces, but it’s much better organized. This cotton top was one of my very favorites, with a pleated front and interesting, crafty medallions that run along both the neck and hem. Standard sizing will cost you less, and is available up to 3X. Considering the level of coolness of this particular piece $44.95 seems very low indeed. Yay!

What I’m Reading This Weekend

I love these jeans, and I know they’d work so well for a woman with the type of body that’s flatter in profile than from the front. If you like to add a little “oomph” to your backside or make it look a little higher and more lifted, these jeans might be the right ones for you! Dark denim is always figure-friendly, too.

There’s so much in the way of fun spring colors over at Kiyonna, but my top favorite is green. It’s bright, springy, and I miss it. If you’re looking for ways to brighten up your jeans left over from colder weather, I recommend a top with a little feminine lace or floral trim like these. Even if you’re not a “Dress Person” per se, you’ll find that you’ll have an urge to slip one on from time to time. So go ahead, page through and find one that works for you!

Going Green: Cool Tops from Kiyonna

I always try to read through some blogs or at least page through some of my favorite sites on the weekend. This time, I found a great site that may not be full-figured in focus, but is a great read for fashion/lifestyle/culture divas who love a good e-zine. (Me!)

What do I love about ChicToday? Well, for one I loved their Kulture2Couture2007 article by Puneeta Singh, which covered emerging African Caribbean designers, and I also loved the article about T-shirt Trends from Rossella Frigerio, with cool graphics and mini interviews with some notable t-shirt kings and queens like Miss Elena Gallen, whose artwork is shown above. Sadly, not XL or 2X here, but still quite fun to look at. Check out Chic Magazine here.

Awesome Find: Anna Scholz Silk Kimono

Are most plus women enamored with their shoe and handbag collections?! I feel like we are, and while that’s totally fine with me, I have made a deal with myself to branch out a little. Tonight, I’m rewarding myself with a little shoe shopping. I’m going wild!

Full-Figured Women: Do We Love Our Shoes or What?!

Obsession alert! I found the exact style I need to buy. I just picked up a vintage dress over at eBay– amazing!!– and I need to grab the pair of mega dark stretch jeans to wear underneath.
