According to Don Bewley, all curls are not created equal. Each has its own personality with combinations of curly, wavy, and even a few straight strands. A customized hair care regimen and styling strategy based on hair type, texture and condition is the key to beautifully curly hair

Shampoo Right.

Only massage shampoo at the scalp and gently work lather down the length. Blot dry wet hair – never rub dry or wrap turban style. Use low PH shampoos and only shampoo every 2nd or 3rd day. Other days, revitalize curl with a curl defining solution

Condition Right.

For coarse hair use a moisture rich conditioner and fine hair use lightweight yet moisturizing conditioner. Don’t rinse completely. Leave just a bit of conditioner in the hair and detangle in the shower by using fingers to comb through hair beginning at the ends and working your way up. Make a Leave-In Conditioner your best friend. Use often and liberally especially when spending time outside.

Use the Right Styling Tools.

Work a liberal amount of Curl’n Defining Solution gently through towel blotted hair. Do not rub briskly. Take your time by sectioning hair and working product through each section. Begin forming curl pattern by using fingers or scrunch with palms. Let air dry or use a blow-dryer diffuser and refrain from using brushes.

Deep Treat Often.

Use a deep conditioner at least once per week to ensure curls are hydrated.

Well, the same should be said for our hair.
