Coconut Bon Bon Ice Cream Sugar Scrub

Exfoliation is essential to getting soft, beautiful skin. Though there are many exfoliating products on the market, sugar and salt scrubs are some of the best. Lately, I have been trying out a variety of sugar scrubs and discovered Dylan’s Candy Bar Coconut Bon Bon Ice Cream Sugar Scrub.
Unlike other scrubs that are really grainy, this one is actually more like a creamy polish. But don’t let the creamy texture fool you. Created with pumice and jojoba beads, this scrub removes dead skin cells and rejuvenates dull, dry skin, revealing soft, silky smooth skin beneath.

Why Skin Types are Irrelevant

When determining your skin care routine, you usually start by determining what skin type you are.  The four main options are dry, combination, normal, and oily.  Is it possible that this information actually has nothing to do with the way that your skin should be cared for?
Previously I posted questions and answers from my interview with skin care “contrarian” Pamela Rae, who is known for her strong statements about skin care that challenge rules that are universally followed by skin care specialists.  She states that “the concept of skin care types is outdated, irrelevant, and misleading.”

Q:  You stated that “skin …read more

Benefit Honey… Snap Out Of It!

Do you want super smooth skin? Of course you do! Which is why you need to EXFOLIATE! I cannot stress this enough, ladies, exfoliating is one of the best ways you can attain smooth skin.  You can pile on all the face primer and make up you want, but it won’t look natural with out a smooth canvas.

Review: Johnson’s 24 Hour Moisture Wash

I’m officially in love with Johnson’s Gentle Exfoliating Wash. After trying each of the Johnson’s Body Care products for a few weeks, I’ve determined that this line is made for me. My skin felt softer and there wasn’t any soap residue after my shower (which can sometimes be the culprit if your skin feels dry and itchy). Best of all, the amount of lather with the body wash was just right there’s nothing more disappointing than an overabundance or complete lack of lather…this was a nice balance.
The exfoliating power comes from micro-beads that dissolve as you loofah – which …read more

Exfoliate Your Skin

Over the winter we tend to ignore exfoliating our body because we have no intention of showing skin whilst the weather is so cold.  I noticed just the other day that my heels were dry and beginning to crack and my legs were needing some love. I reached for my body scrub and within moments my skin was looking and feeling better.
Don’t run off to your spa for a body scrub at the first signs of dry skin, instead try a couple of these products that should leave you smooth and glowing.
