Good skin care is a passion of mine. I’m always lecturing anyone who will listen about washing their makeup off before bed, using sunscreen, moisturizer, or a good mask treatment.

Cocoa Facial Mask

This recipe is good enough to eat, but actually it’s for your skin. If your face is dehydrated or just looking a little dull, this facial mask, fortified with cocoa powder, will rejuvenate your skin and leave it feeling extra soft. This homemade mask is recommended for normal or dry skin.
Ingredients
1/2 cup cocoa powder
4 tbsp. heavy cream
3 tsp. cottage cheese
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup rolled oats
Directions
Mix all ingredients together in your blender.
Smooth the mask all over your face.
Relax for 20 minutes in the bath and then rinse with warm water.

Honey Facial Mask and Body Polish

Your can turn your bath into a home spa by creating homemade beauty treatments with honey. Here are three fabulous recipes that you should try — a firming mask, a polish (body or face) and an exfoliating mask. These recipes are courtesy of the National Honey Board.
Firming Face Mask
Ingredients
1 Tablespoon honey
1 egg white
1 teaspoon glycerin (available at drug and beauty stores)
approx. 1/4 cup flour
Directions
Whisk together all ingredients and enough flour to form a paste (approximately 1/4 cup).
Smooth over face and throat.
Leave on 10 minutes.
Rinse off with warm water.
Honey Peanut Polish
Ingredients
1 apricot
1 ripe pear
1/2 plum
3 tsp. honey
