Gray is a big trend for neutrals this fall and winter – and it’s showing up on all kinds of accessories. You can find everything from gray handbags, shoes, leather goods and pretty much anything else you’d like.

If you’d like to try out a pair of gray boots, but are working with a limited budget, here are three wallet and trend-friendly options for slouch boots.

The shortest boot and the lowest price is the “Divan” by Report, ringing in at just $54.95

The pull-on boot has a 8.5 inch shaft and fabric uppers with a criss-cross strap detail.

The mid-height boot “Tyller” by Steve Madden is a touch more expensive at $79.90:

The suede boot features buckle details and a 14.5 inch shaft height.

For a little more money, you get an even taller boot!

Vests have slowly made a comeback. Last season it was all about the slinky black leather vest. This season I have seen countless numbers of people wearing faux fur (and maybe even real fur!) vests over sleeveless tees, skinny jeans and enormous boots. And, of course, there is the ever so popular puffy vest. The puffy vest has a special place in my heart, as I swore them off for the rest of my life after I spent a year in northern Wisconsin. All the girls wore was a puffy vest and snow boots every single day. I did not understand it in the beginning, but, by the time the first snow fell, I realized that the puffy vest was really actually very warm! I wore that vest to death…and after that vest was worn to death it never came out again. It’s been 11 years. And the vest has remained in the closet as well as a distant memory.

Boots, check. Neutral colors, check. Fall trend, check. Now that we have all our bases covered what else is there to say about these Joie Rockefella Fringe Boots? Well, aside from the fact that they are quintessentially Fall 2009, they are fabulously luxurious and fun.

These boots make me want to buy some uber skinny jeans, a long tee and rock some ridiculously large chunky jewelry on my next evening out with friends. The suede isn’t too daunting (unlike some of the shiny leather and studs that are out there this season) and the heel isn’t too high (it is three and three fourths inches high) and is self covered with the fringe which is the center piece for the trendy boot. The boots are $395 at Sak’s Fifth Avenue (that’s about $200 cheaper than the leather ones that you’ll find..woop woop!).

Hot Belt Trends for Fall 2009

Belts are more than just a way to keep your pants up! They provide another accent to your outfit, shape your silhouette and can be a great way to make a statement.

There are a few simple guidelines to follow for fall and winter this year. First of all, the wider the belt, the more restrained the color should be. Wider belts are great for cinching in a outfit, or layering over a cardigan – but keep the colors muted.

If you want to add a pop of color to your outfit with a belt, go for a skinny belt. Wearing multiple skinny belts at a time is also trendy, but can be hard for most women to pull off. Try wearing a skinny belt that wraps a couple of times around your waist instead.

Metallic chain belts can also be a fun way to add a bold accent to your look, but I’d personally recommend keeping them for dressier occasions.

It’s still roastingly hot in the day time in my neck of the woods, but there is a little crispness in the morning air that let’s me know the seasons are changing…

Floral accessories are making the transition into fall as well. Darker, richer colors and textured materials like suede are a change from summer’s bold and bright tones.

Want to go with a little floral accent?

The “Helena” drivers from Elie Tahari are an easy-wear suede flat with a single flower on each vamp. They also come in navy, black and dark olive.
