Fashion designer Christian Siriano isn’t only about the clothes. He recently made his beauty debut with a new limited edition makeup collection for VS Makeup. You can purchase products from the collection online at VictoriasSecret.com.
Using Egyptian inspiration, the collection features desert colors combined with blues of the Nile River. Christian introduced the collection last month at the Victoria’s Secret store at The Grove in Los Angeles with a little assistance from Kim Kardashian. Recently, I had an opportunity to try all the cosmetics in the Estee Lauder Sensuous Gold Collection. This collection features fabulous colors for fall, including the Estee Lauder Marbleized Shimmer Powder (which will become a permanent part of the Estee Lauder line), plus limited edition shades of eye shadow, lipstick, lip gloss and nail lacquer.

Though we are in the midst of Spring 2010 Fashion Week, I want to take a look back at the makeup at Fall 2009 Fashion Week. After all, we are actually heading into fall. Most of the fall makeup collections we’ve seen have been sexy and alluring with shades of gold and brown.
Here you will see NARS for Marchesa and for Phillip Lim at Fall 2009 Fashion Week. The makeup is sexy and mysterious, but not too harsh. I love the cosmetics used for Phillip Lim — it’s rocker chic without being too “hard.”  The emphasis is on bottom lashes.

I’m always on the lookout for lipstick that is really smooth and moisturizing, so that you don’t have to prep your lips before applying. Recently, I checked out Benefit Cosmetics Silky-Finish Lipstick and I was very pleased.
I tried three shades that are perfect for fall — Raisin’ Cane (mauve bronze), Breathless (muted grape) and Ruby Vibes (golden brick). These were just my personal choices but Benefit offers 19 fabulous shades to choose from.

I’m a big fan of NARS eyeshadow and lately I’ve been exploring their other cosmetics as well. I was delighted to see some of the fabulous shades in their Fall 2009 collection. This collection features sophisticated fall colors for an alluring, glamorous modern look.
