Reasons To Love Fall: Boots

I love showing off my feet. When everyone in the office leaves I turn up my music really loud, take off my shoes, dance around badly and sing even worse. So, fall is almost a mourning period for me. But, I’ve decided, this fall, to look on the bright side of things. Boots can also be fun!

Think of all the ridiculously tacky socks you can buy..the possibilities are endless! And the styles of boots number almost as high as the the number of tacky socks you can wear with boots.

But, as the luxury fashion writer, I am going to urge all of you to please be careful in your boot purchases! Buying 5-6 pairs of $30 ankle boots and only wearing 2 because the other 4 give you horrible blisters or they just don’t match is just not right. Shoes are meant to be seen not hidden! Walk in them. Run in them. Dance in them. Get blisters. And do this all before going to work or going out on the town.

Instead of buying 5-6 ill fitting boots, buy 2 expensive boots that fit perfectly. Let me show you some that would be a good choice in a variety of styles.

They are called “cocoons”

cocoons

Did I tell you that I tucked my prescription sunglasses into my tank top, they fell out and I stepped on them?? Well, I did and they simply can’t be fixed. And they were the only pair that had the special “Transitions” coating. So, I’m back to wearing the snap on variety with a pair of older glasses. Have you any idea what a pain in the neck that is.

But this pair looks pretty cool. They are a whole lot more fashionable that what I’m wearing at the moment and then can simply be slipped back into their case when you walk into the mall. And there is no “clipping” needed. (I really should have gone magnetic) And you are going to love the price… only $38.85!

So yes, you can have more than one. :)

# 80″ x 30″
# 3″ Fringe
# Imported

And it’s on sale for only $39.99 (regular price $79.99)

*Stylish and warm… doesn’t get much better than that!

hoopsI have gone searching for earings in a while and apparently that was a big mistake. I found lots that I love and over the next few days, I will probably be sharing them with you. But today these hoops have to be my favorite. Maybe I’m in a romantic mood… I don’t know, but I like the name and the look of them.

Who knows, maybe they will bring you luck in your love life! Isn’t that what charms are all about??

Now this is kind of interesting. I found it under the “whimsical” category at Nordstrom. So, today’s question is… does this fit with your particular style of the moment??

Stock up on Tights for Fall

tights I started my morning over at Fashionable Kiffen and she is talking about how popular tights are going to be this fall. Who knew that something that we wore as ten year olds would still be popular today and they are sexy. I don’t know anything that can make a leg look longer and shaplier than black tights. There’s just something about them…

But I’m going to miss the bare leg that I have been enjoying this past couple of months. If I could hold onto this weather, I would gladly say good-bye to tights. Unfortunately, there is nothing I can do about the frigid weather that I know is coming. At least tights make you feel a bit warmer… and fashionable too!
