Don’t worry, my fans of flats – I’ve got lots of stylish, feminine flat shoes from the resort collections as well!
After all, just because you don’t want to wear a platform with a five inch heel doesn’t mean that you don’t want to wear fantastic shoes…
Luckily, the designers have realized that too and have come up some some great options for their resort collections. With everything from ballet flats, strappy sandals or even kitten heels, there’s something for everyone.
Have fun with a little sparkle from Valentino. These flats are covered with either red or black sequins with a matching floral …read more

I admit that the reason I’ve pulled all of these accessories together for today’s post from Paris Fashion Week is that I woke up to two inches on snow on the ground…
Did I feel like covering the cool and elegant neutrals?
No – I wanted bold, brash and cheerful color!
Luckily, several designers have obliged with their Spring & Summer 2010 collections so let’s get to the fashion…
Shiatzy Chen showed exotic-skinned platforms that tied with a feminine bow:
Isn’t that turquoise gorgeous? I’d definitely wear that color next spring.
Marie Bishara went for the brights – really seriously brights!
I don’t think you can get …read more

Pardon Me Miss, Is That a Horn on Your Shoe

There are so many interesting ornamented sandals this summer.
There are sandals with glittering crystals and rhinestones…
Sandals with bold, chunky beads…
There are even sandals with woven panels, metal charms and I think I might have even seen a sandal with a bell on it.
These sandals from Stuart Weitzman are decorated with something unexpected…
That’s right – that’s a strip of polished horn running down the center strap of the sandals. The sandals feature cork soles and either red or bronze leather.
No word on what animal provided the horn…

New Spring Sandals from Coach

I’m such a sucker for pretty sandals – especially if they have feminine details like these enameled flowers:
Soft leather flowers and bright, cheerful colors? Oh yes please:
I loved the butterfly detail on this shoe, but then I took a second look – it’s a jelly shoe:
I don’t know if it’s just bad memories from childhood, but I recall jelly shoes looked wonderful on the shelf, but always gave me terrible blisters. If I could get over the blisters to wear them more than once or twice, they seemed to fall apart really quickly.
So am I being paranoid about jelly shoes? …read more
Strappy sandals for Spring from Dior

By this time of the year I’m longing for Spring. I want to wear light, pretty clothes again. I want to slip on a pair of shoes that don’t weigh 10 pounds and are fleece-lined.
In short, I want to wear these lovely “Starlet” sandals by Dior:
Is the pink too much for you? How about the more restrained black option?
The sandals are made from cork, with patent leather uppers and a leather edging around the outsides to make them sturdier. And how can you resist that cute little bow? Not too big, not too small – it’s just right!
