After all, just because you don’t want to wear a platform with a five inch heel doesn’t mean that you don’t want to wear fantastic shoes…

Luckily, the designers have realized that too and have come up some some great options for their resort collections.  With everything from ballet flats, strappy sandals or even kitten heels, there’s something for everyone.

Have fun with a little sparkle from Valentino.  These flats are covered with either red or black sequins with a matching floral rosette on the toe.

Feminine Flats from the Resort Collections

You can find everything from trendy boots, athletic shoes and timeless classics on sale.  Of course, like any sale – things are sure to sell out fast, so don’t wait…

Forever 21 Shoes Worth Picking Up

Floral accessories are making the transition into fall as well.  Darker, richer colors and textured materials like suede are a change from summer’s bold and bright tones.

Want to go with a little floral accent?

There are tons of options for the classic nude shoe, everything from sky-high platforms to embellished flats.  You can also find almost any shade of nude too – no need to wear a pair of shoes that make your feet look like they’ve been dipped in spray tan!

In order to celebrate their new collection, Nine West is hosting a competetion to find the voice of Vintage America.

Despite the sex appeal of a towering stiletto, I’ve got to agree – I’m a life-long devotee of the low heel.  At 5′10″, I’m not exactly need in of a boost in height.  At the end of the day, I prefer a shoe that doesn’t leave me in pain.

And besides, who decided that flats and low heels can’t be sexy?  Take a look at this strappy gold kid “Fabulous” sandal from Stuart Weitzman and see if you’ll change your mind:

Melissa Plastic Dreams is a Brazilian shoe company that makes these amazing shoes out of sustainably harvested rubber.  The shoes are formed as one piece of pliable plastic, so they are soft and mold to your feet as you wear them.  Besides being amazingly cute with unique styles and colors, these are also great to wear in the rain.  They are waterproof, which also means that they can be easily washed with soap and water (no foot odor!).
