Flower and Feather Belt by Icing 101

A lot of women are buying simpler dresses these days, and glamming them up with accessories. I am particularly fond of the belt trend, as it is slimming on a sheath gown, and adds a vintage flair that is sophisticated and elegant. This intricately designed belt would be an amazing addition to any gown.
Beautiful! I love the way the black flower sets off the sparkling rhinestones. This belt is also a good way to add black to your ensemble without going with the whole hog black wedding gown. Available for $45 from Icing 101.

I have a short bob. So, since I can’t put my hair up, I’m always looking for ways to embellish it. I love headbands, feathers, and bows, but I think flowers are also a sweet choice, and I really dig the muted color palette of these particular flower hair clips. Check them out:
They’re made of a delicate linen, and instead of coming off as just totally covered with crap, they have a single, sweet, simple Swarovski crystal in the center. The pale pink and green colors will work with a lot of the season’s nudes and neutrals. Plus, at ten …read more

These cute little poppies and pansies come in different colors and add just a tiny little burst of floral to a regular headband. These styles would look great on women of all ages.

Sometimes it’s hard to find a dress hat that’s not over-the-top or overwhelming. If you’re looking for something a little calmer, try out this SS Cloche with Sequin Flowers from the Village Hat Shop. This charming cloche is completely made of sinamay straw, surrounded by a polyester hat band.
The crown measures about 4 inches in depth and the brim is around 3 inches in width. Along the right side of the hat are sequined flowers along with little glass beads. Additionally, there’s a satin sweatband with a drawstring to provide a comfortable and customized fit.
You can wear this hat just …read more

I just got my new email catalog from Anthropologie and thought some of their yummy jewelery fitted in perfectly with the last few posts.
They’ve got a gorgeous gold lotus ring:
An carved mother-of pearl ring that I am seriously lusting after:
And this charming “petite corsage” bracelet. I think this one would go fantastically well with the porcelain pins.

I’m thrilled to be getting married this summer, and of course, wanted to do something a little different for my bridesmaids. Instead of going with the traditional “everyone in the same dress”, I asked my bridesmaids to choose their own dress patterns. Everyone will have the same fabric for the dresses and I found some gorgeous sheer printed organza to make shawls out of.
I wanted to share my floral brooches with my friends, and decided on this look:
Because I want to remain friends with my bridesmaids after my wedding, I felt it was better to give everyone as much choice …read more
