People have been going crazy over Aretha Franklin’s hat that she wore at President Barack Obama’s Inauguration. Luke Song, who designed the hat and works at the store that the Queen of Soul bought it from, reportedly had the following to say.
"We even have a lot of men calling to get it for their wives, mothers and grandmothers. They want the same hat, but they understand it’s for the ‘Queen’ only. Ninety-nine percent said, ‘That’s fine. I’ll get the next best thing.’"
According to him, Franklin put together the design of two different hats to make the bold design of …read more

Did any of you catch Barack Obama being sworn in at the 44th Presidential Inauguration today? It was so exciting! I can’t believe that I have witnessed such an important moment in history, where an African-American is the President of the United States.
The ceremonies were great and we saw a heart-warming performance from musical legend Aretha Franklin, and boy did she ever make an appearance. Her hat really stood out. As you see below, the bow on her hat should have it’s own postal code!
Like they say, “big is beautiful!†According to the LA Times, Aretha actually got …read more

I’m sorry, what the heck is this hat? You can expect to see over-the-top hats from members of the royal family, but did Camilla Parker Bowles have to pick such a horrible one? I would be afraid of hitting someone in the face with it! It’s not elegant and it certainly isn’t graceful.
Here’s an alternative!
Maybe she should have tried something more like this pretty satin hat by Betmar. It’s called the Satin Touch and I do think it’s a nice compliment to appropriate events.
It’s got a satin triple bow and band binding and the body of the hat …read more

Who doesn’t think of glamor when they see Audrey Hepburn shine in “Breakfast at Tiffany’s“? Her main signatures in that movie were her Ray-Ban Wayfarer sunglasses and the numerous flashy hats she wore.
Her sunglasses were the Wayfarer RB4105, making this style the original 1952 model, shown on the right. You can order these online at Best Buy Eyeglasses with the case included for $149.
The Betmar Beadazzled Downbrim is made of wool felt and satin. The bow adds a glamorous vintage look to the hat. Wear it to the side or at the back, either way it’s …read more
