When I shop for gifts I try to find obscure or not so popular items for my friends.  Sure I get them the latest and greatest gifts and gadgets but then they’ll have what everyone else has and that can get a little boring and expected. Fragrances are something I love to buy for myself and others because there’s so many to choose from.

This month Issey Miyake launched his newest fragrance called A Scent. A Scent was inspired by the smell of the Japanese mountains and pays homage to the “poetry of minimalism”.  The simplicity and minimalism is shown though the design of the bottle. It’s quite plain at first glance but the plainness is also striking. The clear and frosted glass and etched wording really hone in on the theme of minimalism.
The fragrance itself is described as a fresh, airy, green, citrusy floral.  The scent incorporates the notes of lemon verbena, jasmine, hyacith blended with musk, galbanum, cedar and crystal moss.

Michael Kors has created quite a name for himself, not only with his clothing designs and TV shows but with his fragrance collections, too!  A new fragrance by Michael Kors will be available at department stores next month and it’s called, quite appropriately, Very Hollywood.
