As you might imagine, I am a bonafide fashion writing junkie. From the lowliest DIY blog to WWD, I read it all.  All day, every day, to the complete and total dismay of my husband and many of my friends.  I’ll read every up to the minute fashion forecast, and every guide to style, even if it’s a guide to having the best dressed poodle on the block. Metallic Print Gowns: More Runway Trends

The evening wear on the Fall runways was every kind of metallic and glittery. I’ve already covered the more uniform fabrics in metallics, and glitters, but another thing that is really blowing me away is the way metallics have been used to create patterns.
Metallic printing and sequins have been combined in a way on this Pucci gown that makes the shimmery fabric look like it is falling in waves. The ornately embellished bodice is balanced out by the delicate simplicity of the chiffon skirt.

All That Glitters: More Runway Evening Wear

In addition to silky metallics, the Fall runways were replete with evening gowns in ethereal glittering fabrics. These gowns harkened both to a delicate feminine past and towards futuristic fabrics seemingly inspired by the cosmos.
I’m crazy for this beglittered princess gown by Jason Wu. The shimmering fabric drapes beautifully in this classic silhouette. I especially like the way it was styled on the runway, with a combination of ultra edgy jewelry and tradtionally lovely shoes.
