Plus size women know that not every shoe will neccessarily fit us. I haven’t had a lot of issues with standard sandals, pumps or flats, but sometimes shoes with ankle straps can be a problem.

One option for fitting into shoes with lots of straps or a too-snug ankle strap is to take it to a cobbler or shoe repair place and see if they can punch an extra hole in the strap. Of course, you’ve got to make sure that straps are long enough that …read more
Ballerina Flat + Gladiator Sandal =

A really bizarre shoe…
And if the combination of ballerina flat and gladiator sandal wasn’t odd enough – it’s made out of a “hypoallergenic plastic material”.
Should Crocs make these instead of Melissa & Vivienne Westwood?
I think it’s time that you made your own decision…

Strappy Gladiator Sandals

It’s finally happened.
I don’t actually hate gladiator sandals anymore. I guess they’ve been around long enough that they’re growing on me…
I think the “Celtic” sandal by Dolce Vita is actually a pretty hot looking shoe:
Sexy, strappy – could the gladiator actually be appealing to me?
Of course, the “Croww” sandal is pretty much guaranteed to give me instant stump-itude – and I’m just shy of six feet tall, so that takes work!
I guess the key for me is to avoid the high ankle straps…

If I could be buried in a pair of flat sandals, with a great pedicure, True Religion Jeans, and a plain print blue Banana Republic T-shirt I would.
For this reason, I have fallen in love with these Ash Maya sandals from Nordstrom. They aren’t your typical flat sandals. They are fashionable, and even a little on the edgy side. I don’t know how I would justify …read more

The Snarktress may have said no to the Gladiator sandal look a days ago, but, I am going to have to disagree with her–to a degree. Some people, like Fergie, need to learn how accessorize with their sandals. Others need to just keep on keepin’ on by embracing the trend that is gladiator sandals.
If you want to try a trend, but don’t want to go for a luxurious look, like these Stuart Weitman Tiajuana style Gladiator sandals from Zappos.com, take a few steps to decide whether the shoes are your style.
Try a pair of less expensive sandals for a while. …read more
