The recent fetish for anything 80’s has lead right in to a liking for anything early 90’s. You know, grunge, plaid flannel, nose piercings, black boots. Well, you can’t very well begin to talk about early 90’s alternative style without mentioning Doc Martens, can you?

Color Block Body Con Dress by NoeD

If I had to make a list of random things that are hot for fall, it would look something like this: black mesh, stretch fabrics, body con designs, and nude/blush colors. Every single element on that list is represented in this one article of clothing, which makes me completely surprised that it hasn’t sold already. There’s only one, people, but it’s a doozy.

Black Forest Mini Dress by MINKPINK

I saw this dress a few months ago in the UO catalog, and it sent me off on a reverie that led to me feeling nostalgic for the 90’s. Even though I hated basically all the grunge bands, and even though at the time I was a goth who wouldn’t have been caught dead in a flower print. I’m a little less strict with my clothing diet these days, and not only do I allow florals, I adore them. Florals on black backgrounds are a total fave. Which makes this dress amazing.
