I’ve told myself that I’m not using the hair iron on wet hair because I’ve tried it one time and my hair frizzed like crazy. I’m thinking , why are there wet to dry straightening irons around, and would they make the difference as compared to normal hair irons?
The T3 Wet to Dry Flat Iron caught my fancy as I browsed thru Misikko, an online store that offers marked down prices of hair irons ( and their selections are just alot! ).
I’ve told myself that I’m not using the hair iron on wet hair because I’ve tried it one time and my hair frizzed like crazy. I’m thinking , why are there wet to dry straightening irons around, and would they make the difference as compared to normal hair irons?

The T3 Wet to Dry Flat Iron caught my fancy as I browsed thru Misikko, an online store that offers marked down prices of hair irons ( and their selections are just alot! ). T3 like the Denman of hair irons, with its price way up there, and well known for quality. As for quality, I have yet to try it out but I will very very soon, as I am waiting for my very first T3 hair iron.

My questions include,

1. Would the Wet to Dry Straightening Iron fare better than the normal ceramic iron, or the tourmaline hair iron?

2. Would my hair remain frizz free if I decide to use this on damp hair?

3. Is tourmaline technology really all that?

I still do not have thoughts of using the hair iron on really wet hair, so my very thick hair would still have to be air dried before I use it. I’m expecting really great results, and my hopes are up that I’d be able to do good with the T3 Tourmaline Wet to Dry Straight Iron because I’m about this close to having my hair digitally permed anytime if I am not successful with it. What’s keeping me from doing that is also the 1″ plate that can also help me curl my hair! Now, that, I’d love to try.

I’ll surely keep you guys posted with my adventure with this! Stay tuned!

Just because I haven’t found the time to buy a nice hair dryer yet, and I probably would not be able to learn as fast as I could like those in the salons who are so skilled with using the hair dryer, I am sticking with my hair iron right now.For some idea on why I need my hair iron, my hair’s poofy, thick, and even thick stranded.

I am dead envious of my mom’s fine hair that her hair is effortlessly “rebonded” and so easy to maintain, as opposed to mine that I have to “flat-out” everytime before I get out of the house.I am also a person on the go, that means that I want really quick fix-me-ups. I’d love to use the hair dryer everytime, but I haven’t had any luck in making it work for me just the way I want it ( I am planning on seriously trying to learn about it. ). For twice in a row, I’ve had my hair rebonded in a salon for a wash-and-dry, low maintenance hair that I loved. But as it wore off, I actually felt a little bit lazy to go to the salon again, and I haven’t had much time lately, too.

The hair iron is the best bet for flattening out my poofy hair, because it’s much easier to use than the hair dryer, but the thing is, I have to let my hair completely dry before using it, or it’d be such a disaster. I don’t find Wet to Dry Straightening Irons all appealing because I’m scared my wet hair would be burned with the immediate heat of the iron, as we know that hair is most vulnerable when wet. ( Even if they give us assurances, I still don’t like the idea! )

Here are some tips to make hair iron work best with your hair:

* First, make sure that hair is at is moisturized best. Hair irons dry your hair no matter what and it doesn’t hurt to seal your hair with more moisture as you condition it more, and have some intensive conditioning weekly or twice a week.
* Make sure that your hair is dry before you use the hair iron. Hair strands are most vulnerable when wet and you wouldn’t want to have hair breakage because of using the hair iron.
* Use a heat-activated conditioner or styling product before using the hair iron. Much better if you let it dry a bit before you use the hair iron too.
* Let the hair iron glide and not dwell/stay too much on one area for a long time – it just might burn the hair. Just let the hair iron glide down in slow motion.
* As much as possible get tourmaline technology or at least ceramic hair irons. They are more forgiving to the hair.

Well , more tips anyone? I’d love to hear from you!

With my new hair, and my impatience with hair irons lately ( I need to dry my hair first before using them, ) and after watching this, I think I’m going to buy myself a professional hair dryer and a Sephora Large Voluminzer Hair Brush.
Perfect for creating long lasting, frizz-free volume, this high quality brush is hand crafted from pure bubinga wood and natural boar bristles. Made to last, this essential styling tool makes styling a breeze.

With my new hair, and my impatience with hair irons lately ( I need to dry my hair first before using them, ) and after watching this, I think I’m going to buy myself a professional hair dryer and a Sephora Large Voluminzer Hair Brush.

I was thinking of skipping one step ( of drying my hair using the electric fan ) and just directly blow drying my hair because I don’t have all the time in the world. Heck, I even tried to iron my hair when it was still a little bit damp ( just a little bit ), and it turned out frizzy, not to mention I ignored the cardinal rule of hair styling that you shall never use a hair iron on wet hair ( well, it wasn’t really “wet” but it’s still a bit damp ). It turned frizzy, and I just hated it.

Maybe it’s time to switch to the hair dryer bandwagon, and I just need this cute , round brush with me that would promise me bouncy, frizz-free, well-styled hair!

Ashley Tisdale’s one of the brightest young actresses in Hollywood right now. I think that she’s being poised to become one of those big stars one day – I could see her promise from the movies I’ve watched ( Highschool Musical ), and the sitcom The Suite Life of Zach and Cody, too. Aside from her talent, I just love, love, her beauty. I love the way she smiles!Looking at this picture, Ashley Tisdale at the Sag Awards 2008, I just happen to love her hair. Lurv, lurv. The hair’s not limp – it’s in perfect volume, as well as soft, loose curls on the ends. How to do it?

ghd, the masters of hairstyling gadgets, that claims to be “the new religion for hair”, tells us how to achieve Ashley Tisdale’s romantic waves, while retaining volume,

Apply ghd fat hair lotion throughout damp hair

• Spray on ghd uplift spray to roots and blow dry

• Use the ghd IV styler to curl the ends of hair away from the face

• To create more volume around the crown, tease the hair a bit and finish with ghd ultimate hairspray

Wow, really, that seemed easy! Although I am still not too keen on using the hair iron to create waves evenly, I shall be practicing until I do it right. I certainly learned something about using the hair blower to get some volume – it would need some hairspray to make it hold up!

How about you, do you love this look too?

The Holidays just brought forth so much happenings, and meetups with friends who were just too busy when well, it wasn’t the Holidays! To add to that, photo ops are all over the place with people bringing their cameras wherever they’d go.

Take me, for example. I’ve been playing with my Nikon D40x this Holidays and enjoy taking pictures of people. But posing for the camera’s not always my thing! ( Still haven’t mastered the art of posing, ya’know )

Upon checking my photos, I discovered that I preferred my hair flat out straight than layered with body. Of course, I could not undo anything about it! My glorious long hair was chopped off, and now I can’t grow it back that fast!

Or can’t I?

I’m just so so happy that my trusty ceramic iron that I bought months ago saved the day, as I packed it with me ( I still wish to get that T3 Mini Flat Iron though! ) to my friend’s house, we used it all the way, and my hair was just back to its sleek, straight, manageable shape. No waves. Goodness. Just for tonight ( or last night , for that matter ), I needed manageable hair. My hair looked longer when it’s straighter, as it made my face more oval, and thinner. ( Lesson learned – no layered hairstyles from now on! )

I strongly recommend hair irons to everyone who want some last minute hair problem fixes such as unnecessary waves in the hair, too puffy hair, or just a bad hair day. Of course, one must take into consideration the quality of the hair iron to be used – at least ceramic in make, and an added bonus if with tourmaline technology. I’ve seen really bad hair irons that ruin the hair ( and I actually tried it 3 years ago! ) , and it just damages the hair in the long run.

Now, I’m looking to really getting that T3 Mini Flat Iron. ( erm, my birthday’s 6 months away but, any kind soul out there? Haha, kidding! )
This Holidays, it’s definitely party time! I am currently planning to sleep over a girlfriend’s house, and we are going to party all night long for sure! Now, with that, I need to pack alot, and I mean that includes my complete kit of mineral makeup essentials, my best shampoos and conditioners, hair serums, and of course, my trusty ceramic hair iron.
And with a thought, I remembered, that my ceramic hair iron was huge. It would certainly take alot of space in my bag, and I planned to pack light ( yeah right as if that ever happens ).

Well, from my knowledge, there is only one size, standard size for hair irons, but now, it seems like that fact was a thing of the past, with the T3 Mini Flat Iron.

Oh wow! A smaller version of the famed T3 Hair Irons? Yes, it is just the same, tourmaline-infused precious T3 quality that would make the hair just exquisitely perfect – sleek, straight, and smooth. Definitely frizz free. It’s great for short hair, for beginners, and for frequent travellers. I don’t travel frequently, but saving some space on my vanity drawer and gracing it with a pink sight would just be precious. Sigh, take a look at the color. It’s pink. I can bring it anywhere with me and it’s pink.

It’s also a cheaper alternative to the full-sized T3 Hair Irons, so for those who would want to try some T3 quality, this is a good way to get into the T3 world!

Now, this MUST be in my wishlist, you know? This is simply precious. I just wish Sephora accepted Paypal payments. Hehe.

Today, I found a very helpful and interesting post within our B5Media Beauty & Style Channel, which talks about comparing two flat irons, namely Solia and Sedu. Pascalle over at Hot Mama Daily discusses her adventure with the two noteworthy hair iron brands and gives her thoughts about it. You can read about it on her blog, as well as vote which hair iron gave her better results as she posts results of the two hair irons.

On a personal note, I loved it that Pascalle tipped that using a serum would definitely work well with hair irons into achieving a sleeker and make hair strands straighter. Mine’s Kerastase Oleo Relax Serum, and I believe that it does wonders! I loved her braided look most of all in all the pictures, because it was just sooo beautiful with the pretty bangs, and all.

Sigh, I have used my ceramic hair iron last Friday as I attended a party, and I actually missed playing with my hair considering it’s rebonded. Now, I’m lemming to touch curling irons, too!

I still have my trusty ‘ol flat iron here though it would be months before I could start using it, but let me cherish the day when I bought this baby from the mall. I wanted to have a good ceramic flat iron in the sense that ceramic plates are less damaging to the hair , and tourmaline ceramic plates weren’t available here yet, and I wanted flat irons with round edges so that aside from styling my hair in a sleek, straight finish, I will be able to curl them during moments when I feel sassy.

Here’s a great video by Folica.com that demonstrates how to curl your hair using a flat iron – and take note, there are more than two kinds of curls that can be achieved by the trusty round-edged flat iron! In the video , they used one of the more popular brands of flat irons out there – Sedu. T3 is also one of the luxurious favorites.

Back to my story,I almost stayed half an hour with the sales lady , and asked her to teach me how to curl my hair using the flat iron. At first, I got them wrong, but in the end, I was told by the saleslady to practice more at home until I perfect it. I ended up playing with my sister’s hair, and although I haven’t perfected the technique, I still hope to see the day when I would be able to successfuly style my hair in sexy ringlets. Wish me luck!

P.S. Just a tip – be sure to have a well-conditioned hair or heat-activated styling product that would help your hair be protected from the heat! Happy styling girls!
