How to Wax Your Legs at Home

My favorite home waxing product is Bliss Poetic Waxing Kit. This kit is a low-temperature, aromatherapy-based hair removal system and it works on all parts of your body. From face to bikini line to legs, you can remove stubborn hair very gently and effectively.
The key is that it uses a special Pre-Waxing lotion to keep the wax from sticking to the skin. So it grabs the hair without damaging your skin.
The Poetic Waxing Kit includes:

one enamel mug filled with 200 g of Poetic Wax
one 50 ml bottle of Poetic Skin Prep
one 50 ml bottle of Poetic Pre- and Post-Waxing Lotion

Parissa Wax Strips

Press-on, then pull, that’s what makes Parissa Wax strips fabulous.

Parissa wax strips are very easy to use. Allure magazine picked Parissa as one of their Editor’s Choice back in 2006. Press it on the area : underarm, eyebrow, bikini or face ; then just zip it off. The results are just as smooth as if you’ve been to the salon and got waxed by a professional. They’re very affordable too. The eyebrow strips are $9 a pack (16, double-sided strips) while the assorted strips (12 double-sided) are $12 a pack.
Visit Parissa to find the other products on …read more

Have You Heard Of Smooth Away?

(Image : Smooth Away)
Smooth Away is another of those infomercial products that I keep seeing on TV. The View featured it yesterday on their “As Seen On TV” segment where co-host Sherri tested the pads and it actually works.
What is Smooth Away? It’s pretty much a pad that could possibly replace razors. Pads are available in different sizes to use for different parts of the body such as the legs, armpit, upper lip, chin, eyebrows and whatever else you feel the need to shave . One other good thing about Smooth Away is that it supposedly exfoliates …read more

Beauty Gizmo Review : Braun Silk-épil Xpressive Part 1

Hair removal is a grown-up thing. Seriously.
To be honest, at the age twenty, I never even considered waxing my legs. ( Just by age twenty-one or twenty-two heehee ). I’ve been blessed with unnoticeable leg hair that I never felt the urgency, but the moment I had it waxed, I could never ever look back again. It’s a hairless dream. Seriously ( Can you keep a straight face? heehee I’m just in a very jester mood! ).
Kidding aside, I was able to receive a unit of Braun Silk-épil Xpressive for review a few weeks ago, and I thought, …read more

Hair Removal Method Review : Veet Wax Strips

I am always, always in awe of the wonders of Veet as it did not fail me as I did a feat, and used it  30 minutes I jumped in my friend’s car to head out of town. 30 minutes before, I was freshly showered, all made up, and all giddy to go out of town when I realized – hey, I’d be wearing a bikini, and I wouldn’t want to look hairy!

Veet Ready To Use Wax Strips

I must admit – hairless legs look really clean, and smoother. They’re sexy, and must-haves when you want to show off your assets and strut with short skirts, or shorts ( or even when going to the beach! )
There are so many ways to remove hair, such as some electric gadgets, razors, and even wax strips. Wax strips. D-I-Y Wax strips are the most cost-effective way to remove hair, as opposed to having them done in the salon. I might say they are quite easy to use, too!
