Get The Look: Full Volume Low Bun

The same model who sported the bouncy curls last week on The Fashion Show was number one on the runway this week with a chic and sexy low bun by TRESemmé lead stylist, Jeanie Syfu. I love an updo that doesn’t look too fussy but still makes a statement, especially when you’re wearing something as chic as Daniella’s dream evening gown.

Elegant and easy to replicate at home, you can create the same look yourself following a few simple steps:
1. Starting with damp hair, apply TRESemmé 24 Hour Body Foaming Mousse on the top section, and blow dry with a round …read more

Get The Look: Unruly Ringlets

It’s not easy to style and care for extra curly hair. To play off Haven and Anna’s tribal inspired outfit for the elimination challenge on this week’s episode of The Fashion Show, Jeanie Syfu kept the model’s hair natural, but emphasized each curl using a curling iron and extra care. She ended up looking naturally chic, not too done up – just like a winner should.

You can recreate this look using a few simple steps from TRESemme.

Curls require extra maintenance – if you go too long without a trim, those ringlets will not cooperate.

Get The Look: Voluminous Waves

Even if you didn’t run with the mean girls in high school, it’s about time you learned how to create tousled, sexy waves without a lot of effort. This week, Merlin’s model looked gorgeous and confident wearing his sleek pink outfit for the final challenge on The Fashion Show, but there is something to be said for how her wild hair, created by celeb stylist Jeanie Syfu, really completes the whole effect.

You can recreate the look with a few simple steps from TREsemme.

Get The Look: Short and Sleek

This week, Jeanie Syfu created a sleek and sophisticated “power” look to go with Daniella’s chic dress and jacket combo look on The Fashion Show. Sometimes it can be challenging to find a way to work with short hair and give it that extra “oomph” it needs to be a step up from normal daytime hair. With just a few quick steps, you can easily turn your short hairstyle into a sexy, almost androgynous style that is a little bit unexpected and out of the ordinary.

You can recreate the winning look by following a few simple steps from TRESemme.

How to Wear a Summer Headscarf

How to Wear a Summer Headscarf

I always notice gorgeous silk scarves in stores everywhere…from classic designer Pucci scarves to colorful options being sold on tables on the streets in New York.  They look so beautiful and I have always wanted to know how to tie one so that I can wear it and look fashionable.
Most hairstyles work best with a silk, or other very thin material, square scarf that is between 24″ and 36″ on each side.  Here are my favorite ways to wear a headscarf this summer:

The Fashion Show: Hair Trend Alert!

My not-so secret favorite design from episode 4 of The Fashion Show was complemented with one of the best ways to pull up your hair for a relaxed, but still sophisticated hairstyle for summer.
Angel’s model is wearing her hair with two pieces on either side braided and pulled back. A straight part down the center is refreshing and a little bohemian, but notice that it only extends halfway across the top of her head. This leaves room at the back for a little bit of teasing before smoothing things together for just a little bit more chic appeal.

Get The Look: Sideswept Bun

This week, Jeanie Syfu gave the winning model a polished sideswept bun to compliment her supershort skirt and killer Yves St Laurent heels. To recreate the winning look is easy and works well with hair that’s longer than shoulder length (having  a bit more hair to create a wider bun is a good thing). Any shorter than that and you’re going to run out of bobby pins trying to keep your hair to one side.

You can recreate the winning look by following a few simple steps from TRESemme.

Get The Look: Ponytail Power

You can’t deny that one of the best parts of the fashion show are the totally achievable hairstyles each of the models are wearing each week. Blunt bangs, silky blow outs and simple updos are not a problem for celeb stylist Jeanie Syfu.

This week, the winning model sported a dramatic ponytail tucked together at the base of her neck for the most sophisticated (but still laidback) effect.
The process for creating this look yourself is straightforward -

Apply TRESemmé 24 Hour Body Sculpting Spray Gel to wet hair, and blow dry hair back using a paddle brush.

Hair Accessories – Headband with chain

I don’t think that there is anything that can fancy up a hairstyle quicker than a simple headband. Not that this is simple looking. It looks quite amazing actually.
And just in case you haven’t thought of it, you might have all the makings of a headband right in your closet. A few weeks ago, (knowing just how popular headbands were becoming), I pulled out a scarf that I bought eons ago and wore it as a headband to the home show. We stopped at Britt’s booth (she’s a landscape designer ) and the first thing she commented on was …read more
