It seems that Fall 2009 is all about making a big statement with your accessories. But what if you’re going out for a casual dinner with friends, not a black tie gala. Are there accessories that will add some extra pizazz to your outfit, without going overboard?
Absolutely!
The trick is to balance your accessories. You can still wear a great pair of chandelier earrings, just keep the rest of your accessories low-key and you can pull it off beautifully.
A scarf is a great addition to a casual outfit. You can loop it on over a t-shirt, or go fancy with an …read more
When is a Purse Not Just a Purse?

It’s been awhile since I discovered ASOS, the fabulous UK shopping site that makes me think, just for a moment, I have any business wearing harem pants.
The site’s line of accessories are usually spot-on, but I do wonder from time to time just what age group ASOS aims to target with something like the straw cupcake purse?

And then there’s this.
Yes, that’s a magazine, wrapped up like a newspaper, tied with a lime-green bow. Of …read more

I have fond memories of playing with my mom’s button jars when I was a child, and to this day I still love buttons I think that’s why I love this little clutch purse from Anthropologie so much:
Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to run my hands through my button stash now…

Okay, so I didn’t feel the need to share the week’s worth of receipts & the package of slightly squashed kleenex (that’s what happens when your dog sits on your purse!) but even with some slight editing – here you go:
First of all, the purse is one of my own designs (it’s a perk of being a designer )
My no-name pink leather wallet… along with my pink Motorola V2 razr cell phone & matching headset. Hmm… I’m sensing a pink theme here

I know that I’m terrible about carrying absolutely everything in my handbag. It gets to the point where my shoulders are aching after just a few hours at the mall. So, this weekend, I picked up one of the tinier purses that I have on the shelf and tried that for the day!
I couldn’t even get my wallet inside. I had a tiny notebook and a pen… what writer goes anywhere without a notebook and pen?? Other than that I was able to slip in a credit card. That was it!
I can’t live like that. What if I wanted to …read more
