Emmy Awards: Best Dark Gowns

Between Drew Barrymore’s bubblegum-pink soufflé of a gown and Jennifer Love Hewitt’s California babe look – not to mention the endless parade of white, dusky rose and nude dresses – the Emmy Awards were the picture of sweet fashion innocence (save Blake Lively’s oh-so-lively plunging red dress).
Perhaps because of this, the darkest of dark hues stood out far more, in my opinion.
Taking a page out of fall’s goth-glam looks, these women were stunning in deep, dark and glam shades:
“Mad Men’s” Christina Hendricks looked every inch the 1950s starlet in a blue-black L’wren Scott:

Michael Kors Heidi Leather Shoulder Bag

Whilst watching Project Runway (so excited that it’s back!) last  night, I wondered what Michael Kors had in store for his fall handbags. If you’re fan of Michael Kors, you won’t be disappointed. For fall his bags are fun, a bit eccentric and stylish.  As I was browsing his line, one in particular caught my eye…
This Michael Kors Heidi Large Leather Shoulder Bag is a great shoulder bag to use every day.  The overall design is simple but the details, such as the logo embossed gold buckles on the front and side give it a little something.   The rich …read more

Heidi Klum’s In An Instant® System

I’m a fan of Heidi Klum (love her on Project Runway!) but I wasn’t aware she had her own skincare line until I stumbled upon In An Instant®. In An Instant is the latest skin care line that claims to diminish the look of fine lines and wrinkles in seconds. That’s quite a claim as most wrinkle reducer products take a couple weeks or more for you to notice any results.
The secret is the Instant Wrinkle Smoother containing magical moisture spheres which fill in lines, while optical diffusers smooth the look of your skin, virtually erasing the look of forehead …read more

Get Heidi Klum’s Oscar jewelry look for less

Heidi Klum went for the glamor with her red carpet look during Sunday’s Academy Awards.
Did you love her look, but don’t have her budget?
Here are a few of my favorite picks for sparkly red-carpet bling without taking a new mortgage out on your house!
This pair of bangle bracelets from Chamak by Priya Kakkar will only set you back $31:

Want a wider bracelet?  The “Ice” bracelet from Rimistyle is 2″ wide and stretches to fit most wrists – and it’s only $28:

Heidi Klum and all those bracelets…

Heidi Klum and all those bracelets…

Heidi Klum went for all-out glamour at last night’s Academy Awards… red satin ball gown, sparkling rings, earrings and bracelets.
But was it too much?
Let’s face it – we’re talking about Heidi Klum, one of the most attractive women on the face of the planet!  If her jewelry is overwhelming, what’s it going to look like on us mere mortals?
Don’t get me wrong, I love something sparkly as much as the next girl, but perhaps just one or two of those bracelets might have worked better?  How about just one big cocktail ring instead of a handful?
Still love the bling?  I’ll …read more

want to know where celebrities shop?

Heidi Klum (model & host of Project Runway) was recently spotted picking up some goodies at Fire & Ice, a funky home decor & accessories store.

A 14kt white, rose & yellow gold bracelet….

And a carved set of “see no evil” monkey charms.
