Heavy metal is making a big impact this fall with details like metal grommets, chains, studs and zippers finding some unexpected ways to shoe up on shoes and boots.
Sure, those chunky details have been around for years… but they’re more at home on a punked-out leather jacket or belt.  You can find them on some decidedely feminine footwear now too.

Holy luxury boots, Batman! Check out these Proenza Schouler High Heel Boots. They are amazingly droolworthy.
The five and a half inch heel is brown and gold. Unlike many other heels, this heel is set a bit apart from the body of the boot. That is some serious boot love there.  The platform measure one and one fourth inches long and includes three tiers (brown, black and orange). My favorite tier of them all is the orange tier. Shoe designers have been going over the top creating lush, feminine looks for fall 2009.
You can find anything from booties with ruffles to lace pumps.  There are tall boots with soft gathers and peep-toe heels with over-the-top glitter or crystals.
