The 2009 MTV Europe Music Awards took place in Berlin yesterday evening.
Like almost any award show, there was a mix of high fashion, trends and some… interesting choices by some of the stars.

That’s exactly what these earrings remind me of… chunks of ice set in gold. And you simply can’t have too many pairs of hoop earrings and especially during the holiday season.

My pick for today. Just gorgeous and yes, I know, I’m picking hoops again!

You have to admit, they are gorgeous. But I will do my best in the coming days to find earrings that aren’t hoops. Okay, I will try!

I for one can’t get enough hoop earrings and I have collected my own fair share over the years, but I don’t have anything that looks like this! There is the shape for one thing and then the fact that they are 14-karat gold with white cat’s eye beads and Swarovski® crystals! And I’m picky about the backs too. They have hooks that I find so much more comfortable than studs.
