Mineral Makeup Video : How To Use a Concealer Brush

In my previous post about concealer brushes, I have discussed on how it is used, and what the different sizes are for. This video is a very helpful one because it is very important to apply undereye concealer smoothly on the eye area, so as not to have those racoon eyes.
Another tip for that would be if you have a concealer brush with concealer in the brush itself already, it would help if you have another spare concealer brush that you can use to blend the concealed area with, because the concealer with the product might have too much product …read more

Makeup Brush 101 : Concealer Brush

 MAC 242 Concealer Brush
Gone are the days when sponges reigned the makeup scene. I say- no more sponges!!! ( Woops, a brush fanatic here! ) I also don’t encourage people to use their fingers to apply because to be honest, brushes do a better job, and with their make and precision, they are considered a girl’s set of magic wands!
First up our Makeup Brush 101 is the Concealer Brush.
A concealer brush is a brush that is used to cover imperfections – imperfections include redness, blemishes, or even scars. The make of a concealer brush is usually synthetic, not made of …read more

Video : How To Blow Dry Your Hair

Oh, finally ! I have found a great video that explains really well how to use the blow dryer.
And I shall never underestimate the power of the blow dryer ever! Just because I’ve never fully understood how to use it, or how I can use it with other tools. Call me a slow learner, but videos are at least forms of tutorials that I can pick up – I can never learn via instruction manuals or books. I’m a very visual person.
Good thing Michael Fox has explained alot of things here. I’m learning alot.
So, thoughts of rebonding are going away …read more

Video : How To Contour Using the MAC 136 Brush

What I love most about Youtube, is that whenever I want to learn something, it’s like a google for videos. I love makeup videos!
Here’s a video from Youtube on how you can fully utilize your MAC 136 brush, and try to sculpt your face by contouring ( making some features recede ) and highlighting ( making features pop out ).
What’s your personal trick, and what brush do you use for contouring? I’m still on the fence on which to get!

Beauty Gizmo 101 : Heating the Eyelash Curler

I must say that my lashes are horribly poker straight. Give it three seconds, and my well-curled lashes are all straight again. My friend even wondered why I don’t curl my lashes and apply mascara but in fact, I have painstakingly spent an hour to fix myself up – curling the lashes, and applying mascara included. I want to buy myself a heated eyelash curler, but what am I going to do with my three Shu Uemura eyelash curlers? ( no, I’m not bragging that I have alot, it’s just that that’s what I get from friends every year when …read more

Working With The Good ‘Ol Hair Iron

Just because I haven’t found the time to buy a nice hair dryer yet, and I probably would not be able to learn as fast as I could like those in the salons who are so skilled with using the hair dryer, I am sticking with my hair iron right now.For some idea on why I need my hair iron, my hair’s poofy, thick, and even thick stranded.
I am dead envious of my mom’s fine hair that her hair is effortlessly “rebonded” and so easy to maintain, as opposed to mine that I have to “flat-out” everytime before I …read more

How To Apply Eyeliner, Flawlessly.

It’s the question everyone’s been asking me about – for alot of girls have been frustrated with the technique of applying eyeliner.
Eyeliners are heaven sent, simply because they make the lashes look thicker, and they define, and bring more attention to the eyes. Girls who have small eyes like me, would benefit using eyeliner as it brings more attention and depth to the eyes. I love eyeliner – I don’t think I can go party without it! There are two makeup brushes that can be used for applying eyeliner – that’s the pointed eyeliner brush, and the angled brow liner …read more

Applying Lip Makeup Using Makeup Brushes

It’s been always the easy when when we just apply our lip makeup – meaning the lip liner, lipstick, or lipgloss from their respective tubes/wands, and it seemed adequate enough. But really, I could not forget the day when my aunt demonstrated to me on how lips can be plumped and be really defined, if only I’d be patient enough to use makeup brushes for lip makeup. Here’s Leslie from Expertvillage, to teach us on how to apply lip liner, and lip sstick using makeup brushes,
