Okay, so this is more of a fantasy purchase for me than a real-life consideration, but in the search for dresses, sometimes you have to aim high to figure out what you’re looking for. I think I found something! Now, be open-minded, because it isn’t exactly “formal”, but neither is Jane’s wedding. This is my first pick of what I might wear to this informal formal event:
It’s more of a cocktail dress than a daytime dress, but I think it strikes the right balance between formal and not, and the pale pink has the double appeal of making it a little more appropriate for daytime, and also totally goes with the hot pink tones of Jane’s wedding colors without being too matchy.
