TFS Season Finale: James-Paul’s Collection

My perception of James-Paul really changed a lot over the course of season on The Fashion Show. At first I thought he would be at the top of every episode; he started out so strong. But then there were some designs that were rather disappointing as each episode progressed. For his final collection, James-Paul did a nice job creating clothes that look comfortable (though a bit complicated…even if the shades of black and grey were a little boring after the fourth or fifth model strutted down the runway.

Inspiration: 1920’s Bauhaus
Worked With: Vivienne Westwood
We Loved: The Rubick’s Cube dress and Bolero jacket from the first week.
We Hated: His design (and attitude) for the plus-size challenge.
Final Thoughts: James-Paul started out strong in the competition. There were a few designs at the very beginning that made it seem as though he was a shoe-in for the grand prize. But as the competition progressed, there were a lot of blunders and poor showings from James-Paul too. Let’s hope he can pull it together for the final runway show because there’s no hiding behind weaker designs this time!
