I’ve finally found a piece that gives us a taste of some Australian Indie Fashion. It’s an Antique Keys Necklace from Shonah Jewellery Design.

It’s quite simple but it looks adorable. It’s handmade. It’s one of the pieces under the Resin, Fabric & Wood Shape collection.

Shonah pendants are individually handmade, using a blend of her original screen-printed fabrics, patchwork and vintage fabrics. Each beautiful piece is mounted on Tasmanian oak, carefully hand crafted by her father in a quaint country town, furnishing an organic feel to her designs.

I guess if you folks are looking for something that’s pretty unique then this is one good option.

I happen to think this pendant to be really gorgeous!

There’s something really special about how this piece is crafted. I love the idea that the “pebbles” really do seem to “float” inside a through-hoop, fashioned into a pendant. Kudos to HM Mills who handcrafted this necklace called, Floating Pebbles Pendant Necklace.

This simple pendant reminds me of floating pebbles. A mix of Smokey Topaz, Topaz and Crystal Copper Round Swarovski Crystals are wire wrapped along a handmade hammered brass ring. The ring is approximately 1″ x 1″ and is finished with a gold-filled delicate chain, which measures 16-18″ with extender chain. Each item is crafted by hand, making each piece unique.

Floating Pebbles Pendant Necklace

Entangled earrings are a true definition style and panache. these hand forged and hammered earrings are Sterling silver. They are amazing light and hang at only 2 inches in length.

Admittedly, I’m more in the market for gold jewelry but I sure could use some silver in my collection again. This pair certainly caught my attention. They’d look great with my new strapless dress! It’ll be a smashing combo for a night of dancing! Hehe.

I guess that’s why when I stumbled upon this accessory shop online yesterday, I couldn’t help but browse through their selections of necklaces, bracelets and earrings. The shop is called Coquito Designs. My heart settled on this adorable drop hoop earrings called Abigail.

Part of the summer 2007 “Alloy & Earth” Collection, these brushed 18k gold vermeil briolettes are handwrapped in sterling silver wire for a mixed metal treat! Topped off with 14K gold filled ear wires, these will go with anything you wear!

I’m currently fixated in anything gold-ish lately.

Store Spotlight: Coquito Designs

Perhaps this affinity towards fashion accessories and costume jewelry come in waves of wanting because it certainly comes and goes. There will be a period when I’d be too consumed with buying dresses or shoes or t shirts and then moments when I’m splurging or window shopping for jewelry. One of the more recent finds is this Pebble Necklace by Foxy Originals.

This combination of multi-shaped circles is airy and unmistakably gorgeous. This statement piece will surely become the favorite of your collection!

Though I admit my taste of late is largely inclined towards vintage costume jewelry than the more fancy, casual ones like this necklace but I certainly like the idea that this offers a break from the norm. The pebble design reminds me of The Flintstones and I think it’s really cute!

Pebble Necklace by Foxy Originals

Isn’t she a beauty? This gorgeous bracelet from Kim Marie Designs called Pattie will get high marks in my book. It’s made of Gray amphibole which has an iridescent look and looks stunning with the Gold-filled ovals and delicate Gold-filled chain.

I just bought a vintage charm bracelet recently, hence, the apparent interest in other bracelets. Though I do find it funny that I’m so attracted to highly adorned bracelets and multi-strand ones to grace my skeletal thin wrists. But I can’t help it. I’m so hooked. I’ll try to post a photo or a link to show you guys as soon as I can.

Apart from charms and relatively large adornments, I’m also leaning towards gold, lately. Or bronze or pewter. I guess I’m more attracted to jewelries, costume or otherwise, that looked “aged”.

Pattie of Kim Marie Designs

I’m still new at shopping for jewelry (real ones, that is) but I’m getting used to it. I love how these babies make an outfit snazzier sometimes, don’t you? There are a number of things that I look for in a piece but one of the most important ones is the fact that it should be unique. That’s probably why I turn to jewelry or fashion accessories created by independent designers. Not only will I find one-of-a-kind designs, they often cost less but are equally stylish and beautiful as the expensive ones!

Today, I’m sharing a great Etsy find — the Sterling Tangle Necklace.

The 16″ necklace is made of 15 handmade sterling silver tangled balls attached to a chain and locked with a sterling silver lobster clasp. The design is very modern or contemporary, which I totally can appreciate. I can’t help but think of those junk sculptures and visual arts that are so much part of the modern art scene.

Priced at $120. Can your wallet take it? Mine sure can’t. Not now, at least. Sigh.

Sterling Tangle Necklace

I just got my money from the Guys on High, and that means I’m going to be doing a little shopping (and bill-paying).

Things might get a little pricier this week as I shop for stimulus spends.

First up, some gorgeous jewelry from scosha. I found out about them through Refinery29, one of my favorite indie sites ever.

Scosha is Australian, but loves to travel. That passion is definitely visible throughout her work, which has a global feel — it’s like those random pieces of jewelry you find on vacation. No, no the touristy ones, but the real, handmade with love ones.

These are the kind of pieces that are definitive. They can be part of your look and staay that way for years, because of their simplicity.

It’s made by a PhD student, Sherry, who started the line to give herself a break from schoolwork. The line is fueled by her love of all things vintage and is named after her lop-eared bunny.

Bits and Bobs, shown above is a small three-piece collection. You’ll get a mix of earrings and necklaces after selecting motifs, colors and styles. You can even check off what look you don’t like. $24.

The Biohazard earrings above are my favorite piece. I love the bright-ness of them, they seem to scream warm weather.

They’re asymmetrical (I’ve totally got a thing for those) with neon glass leaves and pretty saltwater pearls. They’d be a stunning centerpiece to any outfit. $34

A eutectic is a substance made up of more than one element.

Eutectic is a Houston jewelry line that combines elements — silver, gold and gemstones — in most of their jewelry.

Stevie Ballow is the woman behind this line, which is slightly industrial with the lines and combination of different types of metal. Chains are on earrings, there is plenty of layering and gathering. It all makes sense when you find out that Steve is a former engineer.

One of the more impressive parts of this line, is that is remains affordable. The necklace at the top of this post, for example, is $76.
