Shimmering Jewelry from Kate Spade

I love Kate Spade’s new line of “Cortes” jewelry. It’s made with tiny little gold-plated round paillettes and almost reminds me of something a belly dancer would wear.
There is something so sensual about jewelry that shimmers and moves as you wear it - and with all the little paillettes, this jewelry is guaranteed to do that!

There is a triple-strand necklace, with strands of 24″, 20″ and 16″ lengths.

You can also get a four-strand bracelet, with dozens of teensy little circles.

And to top it off, matching earrings

Charm someone you love with these playful butterfly accessories. Betsey Johnson is well known for her fun, quirky and sometimes outlandish clothing, shoes and accessories and these are no exception.
The Betsey Johnson ‘Charm School’ Butterfly Ring would work very well as a bold statement or accent ring. Wear it at night as a fun cocktail ring or during the day to dress up your jeans and tee. The butterfly is made of Lucite and adorned faux gems. The floral prints are what truly make this butterfly stand out. The band measures 1/2″W and the butterfly itself measures 1 3/4″W.
There’s also a matching Butterfly Bracelet. This pretty butterfly is made out of glass and accented with glittering purple crystal studs. The bracelet is fully adjustable and measures about 3/4″ wide. This would look wonderful with a little black dress for evenings and for those times when you want to give your daytime outfits a pop of colour.
Both of these fun Betsey Johnson accessories are available at Nordstrom for $50 and $48, respectively.

I feel the best necklaces are the ones you can wear every day and don’t have to worry about matching it with anything. When shopping for a gift, choose pieces that are simple and elegant. I spotted these gorgeous butterfly necklaces on ShopBop today and they would be perfect for that girl in your life who loves butterflies!

Both necklaces are beautiful, I’d have a hard time choosing. Maybe the prices will sway you? The Tiny Butterfly Necklace is $66 and the Large Butterfly Necklace is $144 at ShopBop. Which one would you pick?

Today is Canada Day, when Canadians celebrate our country’s birthday.
I thought it would be fun to share some red and white (the colors on the Canadian flag) accessory picks. After all, there are lots of ways to be patriotic - you don’t need to wear a pair of flag shoes

Fabrizio Giannone has created these gorgeous cocktail rings using naturally colored semi-precious stones and dark “Bacurupu” wood, accented with a fine gold band.

The rings are available in purple amethyst,

Yellow citrine and…

Natural pink quartz.
