Having a great jacket makes everything better all winter long. Seriously, how much does it suck to have to wear a warm jacket that you hate for four months? It happens really easily, too, because leather looks great but isn’t actually that warm, and warm, practical coats almost always look really practical in a too-grown-up-for-me kind of way. It’s a little 50’s swinger a little punk. I love Kahri’s stuff, because it just screams rock ‘n roll. The embellishments on this dress are great, and it’s something you could wear to another event, too.

Ive kept an eye on Kahri for a long time, mostly because KahriAnne Kerr also attended my alma mater, Iowa State. She was one of the few local designers we had and I fell in love with her funky wares. She’s grown incredibly as a designer since her move to NYC and it makes me really excited to see her success.
When she started, she made a lot of funky dresses and shirts, much like this splatter wrap dress.
And she’s expanded her line, doing baby and guys wear now. I really like this cute little rocker tee.
