Kenzoki: Marshmallow Mask

Good skin care is a passion of mine. I’m always lecturing anyone who will listen about washing their makeup off before bed, using sunscreen, moisturizer, or a good mask treatment.
Kenzo sent me a sample of their new Kenzoki: Marshmallow Mask to try for review. Here are a few points about me that you might not be aware of 1) I love Kenzo and 2) I will try anything with the word “Marshmallow” in the name.

Kenzoki: Marshmallow Maskis part of Kenzo’s Sensual Rice line (I tried the Barefeet Fantasy Food Creamfrom the same line). The mask is designed for use by …read more

FlowerByKenzo Essentielle Eau de Parfum

As promised last week, I’ve got my review of FlowerByKenzo Essentielle Eau de Parfum. The fragrance is a powdery floral. It opens with a top note of Rosa Damasacena, which is also known as the Damask Rose….
…or rose of Castille; a hybrid rose species, first brought to Europe in the 13th century. Its pink petals are used to create essential oils and absolutes for perfumery. They have been prized for their fine fragrance for centuries.
I’ve always loved roses. When I was about 11, my friend, Tanya, and I tried to make our own rose perfume by boiling rose petals. It …read more

Kenzo’s Unidentified Fragrance Object

Kenzo has been working with artist, Ron Arad, and perfumer, Aurelien Guichard, on a very special project. Unidentified Fragrance Object is the culmination of that hard work. It’s both a work of art and a bold fragrance.
The bottle is made of a metal alloy called Zamac. It’s hard to describe, sort of swirling, rotating, and mysterious. It’s currently on exhibit in the Museum of Modern Art in New York City.

The fragrance is a break from the tradtional way of building a 3-level pyramid of notes. Instead of a top, middle, and base note structure, it’s all built around a heart …read more

Kenzo Cleansing Ice Jelly

Are you familiar with the Kenzo brand? The House of Kenzo was founded in 1970 by Takada Kenzo in Paris. The KenzoKi skincare line is inspiried by nature with four natural elements from Asian to create a balance of performance and pleasure. They use four plants, four fragrances, and four collections to enhance the natural beauty of your skin.

Pretty Bottle, Spicy Scent

I keep all my fragrance bottles out in the open, where I can see them. I have them arranged (okay, not exactly arranged, but it sounds fancier) on a silver tray, in the middle of my dresser. I like the look of all the different size bottles lined up next to each other- tall, short, thin, thick, wavy –  you get the idea.

KenzoJungle Eau de Parfum
I love the elephant, the jungle motif. The flat wavy look of the bottle reminds me of the Kenzo Eaux de Fleurs bottle, with the sort of ripple-effect that gives the bottle a feel of motion.
I …read more

New From Kenzo – Kenzoki Barefeet Fantasy

I tried Kenzoki Barefeet Fantasy, from Kenzo today. In fact, I had my boyfriend try it, too. He said, “Oh, it’s nice and cool.” I agree.

Kenzo uses special Rice Plant Water, from the Chinese province of Zhejiang, as a reinforcer to the product’s anti-oxidant ingredients. Cupuacu butter, an herbal butter from the Amazon forest, contains fatty acids that maintain the skin’s lipidic layer. Shea Butter, from the fruit of the Butyrospermum Parkii tree, repairs, soothes, calms, and protects the skin.
It has a thick consistency and a great scent – Kenzo calls it a Rice Steam scent. I think I smell a …read more

Kenzo Patent Leather Thong Flower Sandals

Check out these snazzy flashy Kenzo Patent Leather Thong Flower Sandals. I’ve fallen in love.
I may actually run to DSW sometime this weekend, put a pair on and walk up and down the aisle in them for a few minutes.  Then, after pining for them for a few more minutes I will put them back in the box very slowly and walk towards the shoes I know I can afford. The shoes I can afford, though, are in another store and are made of rubber.
My Kenzo dream shoes are made of printed patent leather with the pretty delicate pink flower …read more

Eye Makeup Remover As Aromatherapy

Kenzo Clear Eyelid and Lash Gel is a eye makeup remover that is gentle, but effective enough to remove even stubborn water-proof mascara. It is made from a combination of nature and the latest science. Kenzo Clear Eyelid and Lash Gel carries a soothing scent, so it’s an aromatherapy product, as well as a cosmetic remover.
Here’s a breakdown of some of the ingredients:
Plant Water: Contains mineral salts, trace elements, vitamins, and essential oils. It helps the other elements in the remover to work well and it improves the skins ability to absorb the active ingredients.
Wakame: Seaweed found along the shores …read more

KenzoAmour Gift Set At Sephora

I’ve mentioned before that my favorite fragrance is KenzoAmour. A woody-oriental, I love the spiciness of the scent. Every morning, I look at my perfume tray and 4 out of 5 times I grab that familiar bronze bottle.

Sephora has a limited edition, online only KenzoAmour Gift Set available right now. It contains a 1.7 ounce Eau de Parfum Spray and a 3.4 ounce Perfumed Body Milk.

Fragrances Notes:Frangipani Blossoms, Cherry Blossoms, Tanakha Wood, Incense, Thai Rice Steam, Vanilla of La Réunion, White Tea.

This is my favorite version of the KenzoAmour le Parfum.
It has the addition of Amber and Patchouli, which are …read more
