I have written of knitwear designer Karelle Levy in the past, because I am completely freaking head over heels for her line, Krelwear. She makes knitwear basics that are luxe, comfortable, and as far from basic as you can possibly get. She makes all her designs in small batches, so you can rest assured that you won’t see a bunch of other chics rockin’ your same ensemble. Check this hooded sweater:

KRELwear S/S 09: Knits for Non-Conformists

Indie knitwear designer Karelle Levy is totally changing the way I think about knitwear. With her body conscious, sculptural silhouettes and subtly variant color palette, KRELwear looks nothing like the boxy polo shirts and cabled sweater that typically define knitwear.
Levy is a Miami-based designer that bases her work on the idea of “toobular” or circular knitting, which leaves her knitwear seamless, or very nearly so. Seamlessness allows the strength of the woven fabric to be maintained even when the edges are frayed or unfinished.

birthday wish: balloon dress
It’s my birthday today. I’ve officially been on earth for a quarter of a century, which really isn’t that long, but it seems like it. In honor of my birthday I’ve put together a little outfit I’d like, but will probably never have.
This isn’t a dress I’d wear every day, but it’s so cute and fun. It reminds me of the gigantic balloons you get at the carnival, the ones you can practically sit on.
