Sure we all want handbags that are functional and versatile to take us from the office to the weekend. But sometimes, one wants a handbag (or two) that is just pretty and feminine. Cue in Lanvin!
Lanvin handbags are a fun and functional mix of chains, ribbons and leather. While with some handbags with that combination can end up looking tacky (some Juicy Couture bags come to mind…), Lanvin knows how to keep things balanced.
The gorgeous and lady like Lanvin Happy Shoulder Bag ($1695) reminds me of the Chanel flap bags but with a twist. The twist is the black velvet …read more

Maybe you’d rather do a little dabbling instead? There’s an easy way to incorporate the velvet trend into your Fall wardrobe and gift ideas, and that’s with vampy velvet shoes!
Aren’t they to die for? These ridiculously scrumptious velvet shoes are truly one of those investment worthy pieces. Let’s discuss each one, shall we?

Lanvin For Your Ultra Girly Side

Time and time again, Juicy Couture tends to doll up their handbags with extremely girly details like bows, pearls, patches, hearts and such. Personally, I feel their bags are targeted towards the pre-teen and teen age demographic. For women a bit older who want only a smidgen of those ultra-feminine trimmings, Lanvin has a bag for you!
The Lanvin Flat-Face Bowler ($1265 at Bergdorf Goodman) has all the girly embellishments but shown in a more subdued way. First of all, the anthracite felt is black which tempers the the knot and bow detail, heart shaped patches and Lanvin logo very well. …read more

Ever since Johnny’s Lanvin knock-off fiasco on The Fashion Show, I’ve been obsessed with Lanvin. Well, not to say I wasn’t before, but I’ve just started to keep an “eye” on the designs. Keeping an eye the designs brought my attention to these great sunglasses at ShopBop.
Take a look at these Paris Wouter Rounded Sunglasses with metallic accents. What I absolutely adore about these shades are the the gradient coloring of the brown on the rims and side pieces. You can get these glasses in a tortoiseshell or a black. They are currently $300.
Now, my mission is to find …read more
The Fashion Show: Johnny’s Decoy Collection

The judges have spoken and Johnny’s poor showing this week cemented his fate as another casualty of The Fashion Show. After comparing the photos…you can’t help but ask: Did he really come to the same conclusions about his dress that Lanvin did for Maggie Gyllenhaal?
But, the show must go on…and Johnny had a chance to present a somewhat subdued collection for the season finale audience. Maybe he lost all his inspiration after the scandal, maybe he never really had any to begin with…but this is not a very interesting collection to me. It’s all kind of blah and boring…hopefully with …read more
The Fashion Show: Johnny Design Scandal!

Wow. Just W-O-W. Last night on The Fashion Show, Johnny was eliminated. Because of a bad design? Oh no…because he ripped off Lanvin (yes, THAT Lanvin!) with his homage to the dress Maggie Gyllenhaal wore to the 2009 Golden Globes. I thought Reco’s design was abysmal, so it’s too bad that lack of originality and personal flare is what brought Johnny down.
What do you think? Was Issac on the mark with this one? I think it’s safe to say you couldn’t get much less original…especially with the belt and the fabric choice. The hemline though – blech. Johnny should have …read more
