I almost never blog about non-clothing, so consider this a back-to-school special. Laptop sleeves are basically accessories these days, anyways, since we carry them everywhere. At least I do. My own laptop sleeve is burgundy neoprene and totally boring, so I’m saving my pennies for something like this:

If you’ve been following this channel, you know I’m crazy for the creepy cute aesthetic. Like this gorilla. It’s adorable, but a little bit scary and weird because, oh, I don’t know, maybe it’s the giant teeth? This case is foam padded, stainproofed, and lined in red velour. The only thing I don’t like about it is the $85 pricetag. I know it’s handmade, and I appreciate that, but I am still on the fence about whether the cuteness of this sleeve trumps the much less devastating twenty bucks I paid for mine. What do you think? Up until recently, I haven’t paid much attention to laptop bags or laptop sleeves. I use a laptop for work and I was given a really boring, black (ugly, really) but functional laptop bag to carry it in. That’s all well and good but when I bought myself my own laptop a couple weeks ago, I knew I didn’t want the same type of laptop bag. I wanted something with a little more… personality! Fortunately for me (and you!), there are quite a few very cute and not so utilitarian looking laptop bags and sleeves.

First up is the Tokidoki Immagini Laptop Bag. This is perfect if you’re into bright colours, fun prints and if you’re a big Tokidoki fan. It measures 15″W x 11″H x 3″D and features rainbow coloured zippers and is accented with a cute vinyl character. The Discoteca print is available at Nordstrom for $178

This Terry Laptop Sleeve would be perfect for you if you’re a fan of the Juicy Couture line. The signature logo and crest is on the front and it measures 14 1/2″W x 12 1/2″H x 3 1/2″D. The shoulder strap is removable and the case is trimmed with leather and lace. Available in three colours black, pink and blue at Nordstrom for $128

Another great place to look for unique laptop bags and sleeves is Etsy. There are so many talented people who offer their handmade products at great prices. This Orangina Bird Laptop Sleeve/Bag is super cute and custom made by Mareri. It’s available in orange, blue, lime and yellow and can be custom size to fit your laptop perfectly. It’s made with 4 layers of fabric and lined with 2 layers of batting for extra protection. Totally cute!

It seems that half of my friends and family have taken the laptop plunge in the past couple of months – and what does a new laptop mean?

One little problem with laptop bags these days is that they seem to have a “one size fits all” approach. But, let’s be realistic here – a 19″ laptop is going to fit a bag differently than a wee little 12″ one will.
