The Schick Quattro for Women goes by the slogan, “The Fuzz Stops Here,” claiming to have the sophisticated features of a man’s razor, modified for a woman’s curves. One thing impressive about it is its duo conditioning strips – something that I haven’t heard of since I shunned the thought of razors. Razors do actually have conditioning strips within the unit already! In Schick Quattro, it’s one Vitamin E and B Strip, and one Aloe Strip.

Anyway, they’ve come up with quite an interesting widget for girls – it’s a Dream Date Widget. It gives you the liberty to pick your dream guy in the interactive game, then make him say whatever you want! Isn’t it cool?

I tried it and made him say, “hey gorgeous!”, and I think my day was complete already. I’m kidding of course!

I know. I’ve blabbered endlessly about hair removal just lately because tis the season to bare some flesh – summer! What impressed me is as compared to waxing that requires 2-5mm length of hair before it can be waxed, Braun Silk-épil Xpressive can remove hair as short as .5mm in length.So, another option for me, that I would love to experiment with! What I know is that I am still not willing to undergo permanent hair removal by laser because I don’t really see the need, so I pretty much want to stick with DIY products, or gadgets.

The Braun Silk-épil Xpressive promises long term results that I would love it if it would take hair removal off my worries for a while. I shall be updating you guys on how it fares on me. Let’s hope for the best!

Beauty Gizmo News : The New Braun Silk-épil Xpressive

I am always, always in awe of the wonders of Veet as it did not fail me as I did a feat, and used it  30 minutes I jumped in my friend’s car to head out of town. 30 minutes before, I was freshly showered, all made up, and all giddy to go out of town when I realized – hey, I’d be wearing a bikini, and I wouldn’t want to look hairy!

So there, coincidentally, I saw a pack of Veet Wax Strips waiting for me in my mom’s beauty counter, as I whipped two sheets in a heartbeat – for in the past, my sister advised me to scrimp with only one sheet for both legs, but I felt it was inadequate for my needs. My hair’s really unnoticeable, but if I can see it, I don’t feel good. First, I rubbed both sides that were sticked together so that they’d be warm, as I “plastered” them on both legs. I love it that when I pulled the strip off my legs, I felt that the wax was very sticky like “crispy glue” that definitely got the hair out in one effortless pull. I did not have to repeat on one area whatsoever and just proceeded to wax, wax, until my legs were clean hair-less. Oh happy joy! Unlike the past brand that I have used, what I love Veet is that the wax is very sticky and pulls of unwanted hair easily. And I mean dead easily.

I also thought I wasted one strip for I could have used just one strip for both legs, as it does not lose its “waxing power” after waxing off unwanted hair on one leg unlike the past brand that I’ve used. I was just in too much of a hurry that I decided to use two at the same time, but I’d recommend only using one strip at first to test “its powers.”
 Waxing Tip : It’s always stressed to wax your legs after you shower, when you have soft skin and the hair’s pores are open, for easier removal.

I’m so lucky that my legs’ ( hey, somehow, I end up talking about my legs? haha! ) hair are so unnoticeable, that they’re almost invisible, but when I first waxed it ( my eureka moment ), I was just struck in awe to see them looking really clear and smooth!

Wow. This is so cool. No wax, no scary blades, no depilatory creams! Just some heat, and the hair is gone! I just hope that it really is as good as it sounds! I hope that I would be able to review this one of these days, as this is currently on my wishlist! ( Iphone or No!No!….or Clairsonic..dang. ) Priced at $250, this gadget does not come cheap, but if it performs great, I say why not? I’ve also watched the video, and there were certain instructions that they would need you to follow like what direction the tool should be used vis a vis the hair, and it is not recommended for facial hair! ( yeowch! )

and, it really doesn’t help that they have it in very, very cute pink! *wink*
